[Ted had been missing for three days.

Usually, when O'Hare's men came to take someone away for "questioning," they ended up back home within hours-- beaten, broken, but alive. That's what Audrey's ordeal had been like, when they found out she was the one painting murals all over Thneedville. She was home before dinner, though the broken teeth made that a bit difficult.

But Ted had been gone for three days. And it is only now that Audrey is beginning to realize that sweet little boy, the one she grew up with, the one she stole a kiss from before his last attempt over the great big walls that caged them, was probably rotting at the bottom of a garbage chute somewhere. There wouldn't be a burial. There had been so many.

She's sitting on the front lawn of 917 Bilko, staring at the grass and taking cautious breaths of fresh air. Her throat is killing her-- from years of smog and smoke, she thinks-- but really she's been crying on and off for a few hours. There won't be a burial, but she will still mourn.]

[Caesar has tidied up quite a bit from his usual appearance and is carrying himself with a much more aloof air these days. He's out and about when he isn't up to no good making plans for certain meetings or, say, inevitable battles between good and evil or whatever. Hey, even bad guys have errands to run, you know?

He can be found sitting in the park reading or picking up groceries or anywhere in between, including around or in 847 Goldberg or even school on the day he has to go, being an alert and awake in class for once.]

[Hiling is in a particularly good mood today, and for once, that doesn't mean trouble. She gives everyone she sees on her way home from school a bright smile as she passes by. Stumbling upon a patch of flowers growing wild, she just has to stop. She sits down and begins picking some, trying to figure out how to chain them together.]

[ Hey, housemates. Did you expect Ambrosia to decide that the Gokai Galleon was her's? And Marvelous' coat was also her's, too? Well, today, it's different and she's thinking of making the Bloody Mary part of her fleet. As such, she's about ready to make her descent up to the ship, which she has named The Bloody Baron. ]

'Tis quite a fine day for sailing these skies, don't you think? ...Though, I suppose I'm now talking to dead air since I don't have my crew here.

[ The Gokai Galleon can be seen floating around the skies of Mayfield with Ambrosia standing at the bow with her arms crossed and the red coat billowing out behind her. She thinks she's okay, but she's always keeping her eye peeled for things. Perhaps you wish to engage her in a duel or even a friendly cannon fire? ]

[well, breakfast today was a bust but that’s what he got for letting his quote-unquote “daughter” do the shopping. oh, no doubt she meant well, the poor girl, but it was getting to the point that Once-ler was really starting to wonder just how stupid she had to be if she was still buying those boxed doughnuts even after he’d made it clear – abundantly, PAINFULLY clear! – that he hated those. they were stale, they were dry, they tasted like the underside of a rusty car left to molder in the rain and bake under the sun, and…he didn’t like them. that didn’t stop her from getting them, though, and he had similar luck with the drone brat, too. as always, if he was going to get what he wanted, he’d have to go out and do it himself. what a pain.

the bakery is crowded this morning, but getting through the line is only a minor inconvenience at best because Once-ler doesn’t even bother with it. he pushes people aside, drones and nondrones alike, paying absolutely no mind to the protests he gets along the way. dirty glares are met with a turned up nose, if he even notices them at all. the only thing that actually gets any serious consideration from him and what could even pass for a smile is the display case he presses his hands against when he finally makes it to the front, eyes delightedly skittering from pastry to pastry.

doughnuts, cream puffs, jelly rolls, pound cake… ugh, did he really have to choose just one?

oh. stupid question. of course not.]

All of it. That, that, that, and that. [he points to each baked good before slapping the money – what easily amounts to a week’s worth of groceries – on the counter.] And that, too.

[several minutes later, Once-ler can be seen leaving the bakery with a large paper bag clutched in his arms. he reaches in as he strolls down the sidewalk, plucking a blueberry muffin out and devouring it with greedy abandon.]

[She couldn't believe it when she woke up back in Mayfield; when the memories came flooding back to her. It was too much, all the old feelings and experiences missing the happiness and then hell she'd gone through back in Corona. The betrayal and the horrible, horrible things she'd done, or couldn't stop...

The first thing she'd had to do was get out of the house. Once that was done, she found herself wandering, aimlessly, about town, head down, brain desperately looking for a way out of this. Not that she'd known some magic word last time, or anything.

She brings her hands up to clutch her arms, hugging herself. How can this be happening? And how could anyone who knew who she was possible understand her now?]

tracking her through town has been tough, even irritating, but not impossible. every time he thinks he catches a glimpse of her walking around a corner, he runs in that direction prepared to reach out to her, but -

nothing. either she's one step ahead of him or he's starting to see things. he'll chalk the last up to frayed nerves; he has those in abundance today. everyone's acting so weird. it's ridiculous.

when he finally does catch up to her, his first impulse is to ball his fists up at his sides, trying to bite back a snarky, petulant yell.]

You could've said something before you left, y'know! [- although it's hard to say just what occurrence he's referring to: her leaving the house today in a huff, or her being droned. from this Once-ler's perspective, that last bit is the only thing his and Rapunzel's memories match up with.]

[Well Henry got the warning not to attack or try to hurt any drones or people in general or else be turned into a drone. He wasn't happy with that but still it didn't matter. He was angry and upset in general at everything and everyone in this town. It didn't matter if they were drone or not they were all happy (or so he thinks). His mother was probably worried sick about him and everyone in Storybrooke was probably going to blame her for his disappearance.

But if this is another layer of the curse Henry had to make sure that his mom's work wasn't in vain. He had to make sure they weren't going to be happy while he was here. So every once in a while he's going to be trying to trip people that walk by.]


(Ooc: AU Henry is bitter and angry to everybody. Why? Because in his storybook it said that Regina was the good guy but got nothing but crap and the evil villain won. So he's going to be very nasty to anybody because well for one he believes why they're suffering now is because they deserve because they shouldn't be happy if his mom isn't.)

[Here's Rin Kagamine walking all around Mayfield, half-naked and toting a big fucking gun. Do not simply approach without hailing her first, or she will totally shoot you!! It has something to do with the glasses on her face, which are distorting her vision so that she views all of Mayfield as the setting of an RPG land. The people in her eyes might look like blobs of color or even monsters.

And this is how it's always been, ever since she regained the glasses last December. She's usually in a pretty bad mood, and right now is no exception, as she's stumbling dizzily as the identical houses of Mayfield start to cascade in her vision.]

He seems mostly normal, except for the fact that hey, he's... actually responding to people. Not drones, he still completely ignores the drones, but if you talk to him he'll say hello.

Greetings, Dainn! It's such a wonderful day today, isn't it?

Chell | Around Town

[Chell's new memories had caused a few fundamental changes in the way she thought about things.

This is fairly obvious from the fact that she's got her hands on her hips and she's looking up at an enormous tree and chattering to herself about how awesome this tree was and how old was it because seriously, it is huge.

She still marveled at the world, back home, everything outside of the lab was a desolate wasteland. Time hadn't been kind to the outside world, not even GLaDOS knew what had happened to wreck it, but she wasn't going to let Chell wander out there and get herself killed.

Chell was thankful for that. At first, she had been resentful, until GLaDOS had shown her what the outside really looked like.

It had been strange to adapt to new ways of living in the laboratory. GLaDOS had allowed her to go nearly everywhere she wanted and there was no more testing, unless Chell got bored and asked for something to do.

GLaDOS had saved her life again, after she had done so, Chell finally opened up and spoke to her, thanking her. Since then, she and GLaDOS talked often and Chell had developed a habit of speaking to herself sometimes.

The odd robots named Orange and Blue weren't great conversationalists, but they did help maintain the garden. At first, there were only potatoes, but they had found some different seeds and rotting fruits and vegetables from who knows where, and had been able to coax them into growing meager amounts of food after much hard work.

The food wasn't always good, but it was edible, and that's what was important. But now, here in Mayfield, she had a decent amount to eat of all sorts of good foods. That was her favorite part of being here.]

[Now who went and put this timid creature here where the otherwise mostly fearless little vampire is supposed to be?

Someone that looks just like Flandre is creeping about the house, hunched over with her wings awkwardly folded up against her back like she was hiding from something. Her eyes are still red, but don't glow anymore; she's very much human now.

And therefore everything--everything was bigger and stronger than her and thus scary. Even that shadow over there, or the drones she saw walking by outside or the rectangles of sunlight shining in through the windows. They moved. They moved. THIS WAS SCARY. (Though she did at least get better about flinching away from those.)

Inevitably, she ends up outside--something the drones said about sunshine being good for her. All that did was make Flandre drop in place as soon as the door closed and whenever a car goes by, in the hope it didn't notice her--and then squeak and run for the nearest hiding place.

...granted, she isn't as good at this hiding thing as she could have been, what with those batlike wings sticking out and making her either freeze or go into fits of startled flailing and squeaking when they brushed up against something. She doesn't seem to be as comfortable with them as she was; whereas before they were extra hands, now they were just some...very odd decorations. With nerve endings in them.

Maybe under the porch would be a good place to hide, or maybe against the shed, or maybe in the tree...]

She went down to the public pool and jumped right in.

Since that clearly didn't work, she's now sitting on the side of the road, wet and cold and angry and really really scared.]

[Thursday night, Miakis went to bed a playful and happy-go-lucky knight of Falena, with all the worries of a normal person in such a position - that is, not a whole lot. Friday morning, she turned into a serious but kind-hearted knight of Zexen with the burdens of a True Rune and leadership on her shoulders.

It's not unusual when she wakes up bright and early, of course; no matter how serious or silly she is, she still feels a need to do her daily patrols of the town. It starts to get strange, however, when she dresses and fixes her hair. Rather than tying her hair up in her usual pretzel-type hairstyle, she leaves her hair down, letting it rest on her shoulders. And instead of her bright blue miniskirt, she chooses something a little more modest, a skirt that actually covers her legs. The black and gold armor stays, though she doesn't understand why the town thought to give her Falenan armor to wear.

Once she's ready, she's out the door. There is no spring in her step today, nor does she hum any happy tunes or cheerfully greet any passers-by. She has a duty to perform, a destination she's set on, and she's not about to let anything distract her.

Later, she arrives for her shift at the flower shop early, and sets about her work quickly. She doesn't slack off or sneak into the back for a nap. No, she's still not happy about the job, but if she has to make flower arrangements and greet customers with a smile (albeit a very forced one), she'll do it.]

[Even if his head was kind of fuzzy when he woke up this morning, Picky was having a great day. Whatever the town wanted to throw at him, he felt up for it. He felt sure of himself. It was a shame that the town had only given him back his Game Boy and some clothes, and not anything cool like his trusty slingshot or his ultra pocket knife... but he could deal. Heck, his Mayfield toy chest even had a slingshot in it! And not a half-bad one.

So he's out and about town today, facing it with pockets full of marbles, a slingshot stuck in his back pocket, and a sharp and sure look in his eyes. You might catch him in the park, or in the schoolyard, or roaming through your neighborhood. You might possibly be narrowly missed by a marble as he uses a tree for target practice.]

Were all the images now dancing in her head but hallucinations and fabrications? Father as Prince of Harbourvale, her as the Senechal, the nights long and peaceful, the city complacent and calm? She hoped not. She truly hoped not. She couldn't imagine how she could ever handle it, otherwise. Life without Father was unimaginable... She wasn't even sure how well she would handle being in Mayfield again... If only Father was here with her. If only...

She's much more timid looking as she roams Mayfield's streets tonight. Her gaze is soft and curious, and she's apt to approach you with a friendly smile. She's wearing her skirt longer and her neckline higher, and her clothes far baggier. Oh, she's still over-perfumed and still eerie... but less menacing.]

((OOC: Natalie is from an alternate timeline where her sire was never killed. As a result, she had no reason to grow bitter and cynical... or to really grow up at all, and step out from his shadow. She's a much more humane, much more withdrawn vampire.))

Neku's trying to pull off that look right now. He's actually gotten his hair to behave, with gratuitous amounts of pomade. And who knows where he 'borrowed' the bike from. But for once, he's actually succeeding in the whole 'looking like a badass' thing.

[In the universe Feferi thinks she's in, there was time before Jack Noir came and destroyed the trolls' planets and dreamselves. Feferi died on her quest bed on the Land of Dew and Glass, and she awoke as the fully realized Witch of Life. She could extend a life, shorten it, or, simply, heal it.

With those powers came immortality - only two things could kill a god. A just death, meaning putting down a villain. Or a heroic death, one taken in the line of fire.

At this particular moment? Feferi can't bring herself to care. Okay, so she doesn't have her nifty wings, but she has her outfit! And she's sure she has her powers too.]

[Well, this place was certainly better than Surrogia, aside from being treated like the low-blooded trash he is from the drones. This certainly wasn't troll Canada, and the humans here... he's known they've bled red for quite awhile.]

[ While Rin's past changed drastically, she doesn't show any physical signs of it herself. Her hair is as dark as it was before she left her first family to join a second and her eyes remain untainted from the worms associated with the family. She's seen them, felt them crawl over her, and the very thought of them returning is what drives her into a bitter state. At any moment they could return and then her life in Mayfield...

Well, no matter. Even if she wants to spend her time fretting over things to come, there's no point to doing so. She's been here for over a year and so far has lucked out with clothing and physical items from her childhood. There's inconsistencies that bother her, but they are so minor that it could be from that mix-up of magical interference from that witch. Even if she's uncertain of what she remembers, it doesn't stop her from spending her life as usual in Mayfield. So during the duration of this week, she can be found doing any of the following:

        (A) At Mayfield High, Rin actually sticks around for the last day of school. She can be found lazily sitting on her desk in any of her classes, completely dismissing her teachers and focusing on her own writings. (Remember school lets out on June 1st so don't tag any other day besides that one :D)
        (B) At Olney's Tavern, Rin can be found behind the bar and blasting away any drone men that try to escort her out. This is different than usual because normally she would never attack a drone outright and would instead get tossed out. Want to be a bigger man and stand up for them? Just keep in mind that she has fair number of bar goers on her side at any given time...
        (C) At Makeout Point late at night, Rin will sit up in a lone tree's branches to look out at the town before her. She could be doing a number of things from seriously contemplating something to casually napping. Sneaking up on her may not be a good idea no matter what...
        (D) In the neighborhood. While she doesn't make it a habit to talk to people normally, she may be more inclined to help than usual. So if she happens upon someone struggling with something, drone or not, she'll stop to assist them. Funny really because since when is Rin so open with her aid?

No matter the day or the time, she's doing little to hide herself from people. In fact, it's as though nothing has changed save for one little detail. And that little detail leaves her completely without hope. ]

[If one runs into Bazett this week, she will seem to be much more relaxed. The only thing that seems unsettling about her is that she now only has one eye. She can be spotted in any number of situations.]

A. Checking up on her allies. If you have close CR with her, she will probably be trying to check on your conditions.

B. Running around town, offering to help with their problems. She seems to consider this not as a duty, but as something she genuinely likes doing.

C. Olney's tavern. Not only is she sipping at her drink, but she is also actively socializing with the other patrons.
