[ With the fire getting steam, Ambrosia sits back at a safe distance with her hands up a bit. The last time she held any kind of bonfire like this was years ago, but with how things were in Mayfield, she thought that there was a need to have at least some kind of party, however small it may be. ]

Hope ye don't mind if I brought a few extra people, pop 'n mum. Thought tha' ye'd like it.

[ Mingle among yourselves - she won't mind. As long as people are having fun, that's what counts. ]

[He allows himself to laugh loudly.]

I'm a li'l young for ya. Damn straight I'm a brat.

[He wrinkles his nose playfully.]

'N ye admit it! Tha' makes ye extra bratty, ye brat!

[ Oh, aren't they two peas in a pod? ]

Pfft, best one out there! I got this job bagged!

[Definitely! Give him the chance, he'll take that and run with it all the way to prove it.]

[ Ambrosia playfully gives him a little jab in the shoulder before breaking out into laughter. With the kind of day she's had, it's sorely needed. ]

Oh, Varon. Where have ye been all me life?

[ People like you make things exciting. She wants exciting things to happen. ]

Well, I don't even think I was a tickle in my daddy's balls yet.

[He's laughing this whole time of course. He's definitely relaxed and glad that he got that emotional poison out.]

[ She's silent for a bit before just absolutely cracking up in to even more laughter. ]

[That's only a small part of his humor but it shows that he really doesn't care about social graces that much around people he feels comfortable with. He playfully pokes Ambrosia's shoulder with his finger. Damn if he wasn't just a bit older...]

Tha' ye did! Maybe ye ain't such a brat after all.

[ This is said after she calms down somewhat, but she's good for now on the whole laughing front. After all, as much as she didn't give a crap about social graces herself, she did have a reputation of sorts to uphold.

The poking is returned with one of her own, a smile attached to it. ]

Oh, now it's on!

[The poke is returned again with another poke soon after. It started to become one of those childish poking wars that happens with two kids in the backseat of the family car.]

Oy-oy! You started this, ya know!

[ And then? Another poke is returned in earnest towards him and then another one just for good measure. ]

Nay, ye did!

Ouch!

[He laughs and rubs at the poke. Even though it wasn't that hard, it got him to stop but he switched to tickling now.]

Oh, that does it!

Gah!

[ Must not laugh. Must not laugh. She decides to wrestle Varon out of the tickling so that she can return it tenfold. ]

Ye ain't winnin' this, brat!

[He's trying not to laugh but he bursts out anyway, losing the game before he had really a chance to start. His back is not on the ground and laughing hysterically.]

STOP!! I GIVE!!

[He tries to curl up into a ball to break free but she's got the upper hand at this point.]

Never! This is one pirate who ain't merciful!

[ You brought it on yourself, Varon, so enjoy more tickling than you can shake a stick at. ]

Urh!

[He growls to try to breathe then he bursts out laughing again. He's lost this battle the hard way but it was a fun battle. Being ticklish really isn't something that he wanted advertised but oh well, he can't help it now.

He falls backward onto the grass from laughing so hard.]

What'cha say? Give up already?

[ Yeah, she's still gonna tickle him just because she can. But, in a way to try to get one up on him, she moves to his feet while still tickling him. ]

Can't...breathe!

[His laughter still is strong but in smaller bursts. He's trying to roll over to his side but it's not working out too well.]

Oy...[laughs] that's torture! [more laughing]

All's fair in love 'n war, love!

[ Though, she'll leave his feet alone. (For now. There will be more opportunities for tickle wars after this.) For now, she decides to end it with a few more tickles and then lets him go. ]

Now that's just harsh.

[He's catching his breath now but he's feeling a whole lot better than he did before and whistles, putting his shoes back on.]

I needed that...really.

Tha's how we pirates play. Hard, fast 'n dirty.

[ Ambrosia smiles before ruffling his hair playfully. ]

Ye take care of me, I take care of ye, aye? Tha's how a crew works.

Oy! Ya know how long it took me to get it like that?

[His hair is already a mess but what's a little more mess to make it messier? He chuckles.]

I'll have t' step up my game then.

Hours or somethin'?

[ Because, man. All she needs to do is wash and scrub her hair and then she is ready for anything. ]

Tha' ye will! Don't make things borin' 'round here, got it?

Nah, I break combs. It's a natural mess. Been that way since I was little.

[He grins and salutes.]

That's my job!

Hah. I almost miss all th' junk tha' gets in me hair. Salt, sticks 'n anythin' else ye can think of got in me mess of hair.

[ With a nod, she salutes back. ]

Good, now ye are ready t' take on th' world!

It's road dirt with me. I'm ready t' take on anything. No doubts on that.
