[ With the fire getting steam, Ambrosia sits back at a safe distance with her hands up a bit. The last time she held any kind of bonfire like this was years ago, but with how things were in Mayfield, she thought that there was a need to have at least some kind of party, however small it may be. ]

Hope ye don't mind if I brought a few extra people, pop 'n mum. Thought tha' ye'd like it.

[ Mingle among yourselves - she won't mind. As long as people are having fun, that's what counts. ]

[He's catching his breath now but he's feeling a whole lot better than he did before and whistles, putting his shoes back on.]

I needed that...really.

Tha's how we pirates play. Hard, fast 'n dirty.

[ Ambrosia smiles before ruffling his hair playfully. ]

Ye take care of me, I take care of ye, aye? Tha's how a crew works.

Oy! Ya know how long it took me to get it like that?

[His hair is already a mess but what's a little more mess to make it messier? He chuckles.]

I'll have t' step up my game then.

Hours or somethin'?

[ Because, man. All she needs to do is wash and scrub her hair and then she is ready for anything. ]

Tha' ye will! Don't make things borin' 'round here, got it?

Nah, I break combs. It's a natural mess. Been that way since I was little.

[He grins and salutes.]

That's my job!

Hah. I almost miss all th' junk tha' gets in me hair. Salt, sticks 'n anythin' else ye can think of got in me mess of hair.

[ With a nod, she salutes back. ]

Good, now ye are ready t' take on th' world!

It's road dirt with me. I'm ready t' take on anything. No doubts on that.

Good, good. Tha's just how I like it.

Ya know, It feels pretty good.

[He lifts his bottle high.]

To family! To life!

Good!

[ And she does the same herself. ]

To makin' yer name known 'round th' seven seas 'n more!

Damn straight! Let's raise some hell! Mayfield, th' new Tortuga! We'll make it ours!

[By this time, he's standing up and is proudly announcing his intentions.]

I'll make Fujino mine!

Now yer talkin' me language! We'll make pirates out of these fools yet!

[ At his proclamation, all she can do is smile and nod. She's proud of him. ]

That's if we can get that stick outta everyone's ass first. That's a lotta sticks.

[He chuckles and nods. He's got a lot of pride to show for it.]

Ohh, I think tha' can be done. We can't give up with that, aye?

Nope. I think once all those sticks come out people'll lighten up, that's for damn sure. Ah, now that I'm thinkin' 'bout it, when you an' your boy got together, how long did it take you two to...you know...make out? I know it's different for each couple, just thought I'd ask.

[Not that it was really any of his business.]

Guess I'm askin' 'cuz when I ask her t' be mine, I kinda like a reference.

[ Her cheeks tint with a blush as she suddenly feels a bit, well... embarrassed. She tugs at her collar and lets out a small laugh. ]

By makin' out... what'cha mean?

[He sputters and his own face turns red.]

Oy-oy, it's nothin'. Forget I asked.

[He waves it off instead, changing subjects.]

Ya know how t' drive a car?

[ Good! Besides, you're too young. :| ]

...Nay. I walk everywhere.

Would ya like t' learn?

If ye don't think I'll crash th' thing, sure.

[ A beat and then: ]

But, t' answer yer first question honestly, it's best t' just wait instead of jumpin' into somethin'. With Marvelous 'n me, most of our antics were done with th' flowers from a couple days back. 'N then when we both got t' our senses, we decided t' go at it naturally 'n see just what'll happen.

[Surprised.]

So you two started seein' each other then too? Damn...I thought it was just a coincidence. You can bet though that I'm not gonna take her t' bed. That's too fast an' even I have t' set a pace. Not that I don't want to...but ya get the idea, right?
