Because he can't stop himself from making a movie reference, the theme of this year's Prom is "Enchantment Under the Sea". (Don't get too freaked out, Marty McFly.) Equipment has been moved out, seating has been set near tables and walls, and a makeshift stage has been constructed to host the DJing equipment. There's plenty of food and drinks - including spiked, and very-much-not-spiked punch (magically protected, thanks to Ilsa). In a corner is a small set up for people who wish to get their photos taken by Tsukasa.

The party is under way - have yourselves a good time, Mayfield!

[This little boy is not dressed for prom, he's just in dark trousers and a dark sweatshirt, and he's trying not to come too far into the dance.

In fact, he'll be shimmying up a tree outside to spy in at the window like a creepy stalker.]

[ Taki is out to get a little fresh air when he spots Cain. ]

[Oh, heck. Of all the people he wanted to see him, this was one of the least considering he'd lied and said he had something else to do.]

Ah... not really, I just lost something on the ground by this tree.

[ That's okay. Taki had already figured he lied.

He chuckles. ] Then why in the world would you go up the tree?

[Good question...]

I was trying to get a birdseye view of it.

I see. And a birdseye view through the window as well, I assume?

[ He saw you looking through it, Cain, you silly boy. ]

( Spain only barely caught Caine climbing up the tree. In fact, he still wasn't sure what he had seen until he came over to see, )

Ay, you know, if you don't want to dance. . . you can just say no.

[He almost falls off his branch in surprise at that voice just below him, peering down at Spain.]

I'm content to watch, Mr. Spain, I have two left feet for dancing.

( Spain would have totally caught him if he fell. . . )

You mean watching from above?

Right, I'm too small to see in at the window otherwise.

[He's not spying on anyone, honestly.]

Of course. ( Looking up a moment and then over at the building again, ) What do you see?

[She's taking a break from dancing, heading outside for some air when she spots something scurrying up the tree.]

Ex...cuse me?

[Eek! He looks down and... he recognises her, he met her when he looked like Beast Boy.]

[Weird. He wonders how she instantly knows who he is, when he thinks they've only met when he was inside Beast Boy's body and never when he looked like himself.]

Just looking for something I've lost.

[After dancing with two princesses, successfully trolling one shotapire, and chaperoning a number of attendants, one could say Ciel's earned a breather. The reason why she stepped outside for a bit to get some fresh evening air, when a smidgeon of familiar blonde catches her eye from a tree nearby.

Breaking out of her eased stance, she begins to saunter towards him. Ignore the fact that she's decked out in a sharp suit with a pair of sunglasses clipped on the breast pocket, she's still frowning lightly in surprise and confusion.]

[Of all the people Cain didn't want to catch him up the tree, there were several that topped the list. Abel was obviously in at pole position, closely followed by Aurora, but Charles and Ciel were definitely way up there.

He leans down from his branch, giving her a winning smile as though this were a perfectly normal occurrence and she had no reason to be suspicious.]

[no seriously if you wanted to stalk your brother you should've told him the prom looked fun and you wanted to go see what the big fuss is about. Don't need a date, just chill. Then you can be as creepy as you like do whatever you want and it would look far less suspect. There IS such a thing as hiding in plain sight!]

[The thing is, Abel didn't tell him that he had a date and Cain didn't want to let on that he knew. So he couldn't go, that would be too obvious.

He has to stalk from the shadows like all incredibly healthily attached siblings do.]

I'm just watching the dancers, some of them are quite good!
