Splish splash I was takin' a bath

What: Splashing around in an onsen acting like five year olds
Where: The Nadesico's onsen at 947 Beulah

[It's been far too long since Lyon had been invited by Ruri to use the Nadesico's newly regained onsen, and since she's had a couple of pretty stressful weeks recently, she figures now is as good a time as any to kick back and relax a bit.  And since Miakis is undroned and they never really got to talk about what happened over Christmas, she's invited her best knightbro along too.  It'll be a good chance for the two of them to unwind a little.  Lyon's got a pink towel wrapped around her as she heads into the onsen area, and she's also carrying some bath beads she's been waiting to use for a long time now, along with the usual soap and shampoo.]

Wow, look at this place!  It's even bigger than the bath house at the castle!

[Miakis lets out a low whistle a the sight of the onsen. It is an impressive sight, indeed, and more than that a welcome one. Though she's not so bothered by the random dronings as she used to be, other recent events have left her feeling just a little stressed. This is exactly what she needs; a chance to relax and unwind with an old friend.

She's a little ambivalent, thanks to the long overdue Talk that will no doubt happen today, but she doesn't show it. Right now, she's all about playing Battleship with her toy Dahak and wooden beavers.]

Woooow, I think you might be right~ [She claps her hands together excitedly.] We'll have to tell Miroon all about it once we get back to Falena!

[Lyon's hoping that talk won't take up much of the evening, but she knows it's something they've got to do before they can really clear the air between them. But for now, she intends to enjoy herself and relax a little. Taking the ribbons and beads out of her hair, she sets them aside before drawing her towel a little more tightly around her and dipping a toe in to test the waters.]

Oh, it's nice and warm!

[dwaggies]

[Miakis follows her knightbro's lead and sticks one foot in the water, letting out a sound of surprise at the water's temperature - pleasant surprise, though, naturally.]

Aaaah, it's just right~

[And soon enough, she shamelessly strips off her towel and slides in the water the rest of the way, sighing contentedly as she does so. Feels good, man. *u*]

[Once Lyon's in the water, she removes her own towel, though she doesn't do so until she's already sitting down. But soon enough, she's stretching her legs out under the water as she relaxes against the side.]

It's like heaven! We really should have done this earlier.

[dwaggies]

No kidding. [She kicks her feet a bit, splashing the water some, before she leans back and closes her eyes. Right now, she feels more content and relaxed than she has in months.] It's not nearly as good as the one in Lunas, of course, but that was no mere bath~

I wouldn't know.

[After all, the Prince wasn't allowed in, and where the Prince goes, so goes Lyon.]

We should bring the Princess with us next time.

[dwaggies]

Weeeell, it's a good enough substitute, I guess.

[Lyon might notice that Miakis is avoiding her gaze, opting instead to play with the toy boat. That awkward moment when you need to apologize to your friend for killing her but aren't sure how to bring it up. D:]

Yeah, we should! She could use a little taste of home...

[Yeah, Lyon might notice that, but she doesn't. She's perceptive about things happening around her, but not so much when it comes to reading the emotions in someone's voice or written on their face. Blame being raised for half her life by Nether Gate for that. She's better off than Shigure or Sagiri in this regard, but the conditioning never goes away completely Instead, she smiles wistfully at the toy Dahak.]

It's a shame the Prince isn't here anymore. I think he would have really enjoyed it too.

[Miakis is quiet for a brief moment, nodding her head and allowing herself to reminisce some - she misses Frey just as much as Lym and Lyon - but being Miakis, she just can't resist that opening.]

[Hey, there's that poutyface she's used to. Lyon blushes and splashes some water at Miakis and her bath toys.]

I didn't mean like that!

[Oh, is that how it's gotta be, Lyon? Two can certainly play at that game.

[How does she never see this sort of thing coming. Lyon wrestles back as best she can, grabbing Miakis by the shoulders and trying to push her off so she can mount a better assault.]

[dwaggies]

[Miakis goes flying, toppling backward into the water. She quickly pops her head back up, spluttering and pouting.]

Aww, you got my hair wet!

Serves you right for playing dirty!

[Lyon, bossy as ever, even when you're playing around.]

There was nothing dirty about it!

[She retreats to the other side of the bath :'|]

Yes there was! It was supposed to be a splash fight! Nobody ever said anything about tackling each other!

[Not that anyone said anything about splashing either. Lyon invented a complex set of rules of engagement in her head, and clearly Miakis has knowingly violated them.]

[Miakis starts looking around for her towel, but alas, it's all the way on the other side of the onsen. >:| So she crosses her arms over her chest as well.]
