tell me, why do people hide what they truly feel inside (closed)
Who: Idiot Brigade Leader and her Equally as Idiotic Lackey!
What: Father's Day Shenanigans.
Where: Their house, and then pretty much all of Mayfield.
When: Father's Day, obviously.
Warnings: None, though that may change later.
Normally, Haruhi wouldn't wake up early on a Sunday morning. Especially when it was summer vacation. But nope, that idea was ruined by the two drone kids who were practically yelling one word repeatedly, endlessly.
"Dad! Daaaad!"
If that didn't wake up Haruhi (or Kyon, even), don't know what will.
Guess it's time to make some breakfast. If Kyon's waking up, he'll see Haruhi, barely dressed cooking something special. More special than their usual breakfast.

After a deep sigh, she replied with a, "I think I'm acting weird."
Maybe.
She couldn't be too sure.

"Yeah." But when she looked up at Kyon, she actually smiled a little. She wasn't angry at him, at least, not now. It wasn't his fault after all. "But it's... not bad, is it?"
Please tell her that it's not bad. Just do it now.

Why, she asked herself, frowning. It was like she was trying to please the idiot, and that was something that she didn't want, of all things. It made her cringe, but it wasn't like she was going to admit it. Not to Kyon. If he knew about this, who knows what the world could come to?

"... What are you doing?"

Except she wasn't, really, but she had to lie to distract herself from... that. And of course it wasn't helping. She had to do her best in order to not want to be nice, or even remotely helpful. Sure, she loved Kyon - but that didn't mean that she wanted to change for him.
Though she did know that sometimes, change was good!

That wasn't exactly a good idea. Sure, she did finish everything that's on her plate, but she forgot to bring it to the sink. Better abort right now while she can!
"Then I'll just go outside!"
Obviously this was an excuse to avoid Kyon.

"Because I want to."
A lie, of course. She didn't really want to avoid Kyon, but she really didn't want to be with him right now, either. This was the better choice.

Of course, as much as he hated to admit it at times, he really does love most things about Haruhi.

If this was really what she thought it was, then going outside would be a bad idea, too. It would probably be even worse.

"... This isn't outside y'know."

Even though it wasn't like her to be like this, it was a nice change. Tomorrow, though, she would get her revenge. Just not on Kyon.

And she, the chief of the SOS Brigade wanted to make him happy, too.
"I love you too, Kyon." Oddly enough, she didn't call him 'idiot' or any synonym of the word like she usually did. What has the world gone to?

But she also knows that she's enjoying this, and is also secretly hoping that Kyon is too. Though she knows that he most definitely is. Why else would he be the one to kiss her?
