Because he can't stop himself from making a movie reference, the theme of this year's Prom is "Enchantment Under the Sea". (Don't get too freaked out, Marty McFly.) Equipment has been moved out, seating has been set near tables and walls, and a makeshift stage has been constructed to host the DJing equipment. Quinn has music up until 2010, so a large variety of music will get played. There's plenty of food and drinks - including spiked, and very-much-not-spiked punch (magically protected, thanks to Ilsa). In a corner is a small set up for people who wish to get their photos taken by Tsukasa.

The party is under way - have yourselves a good time, Mayfield!

Yeah... but a little heavy for prom conversation. How about we grab some punch instead, right?

[ He didn't really find it to be too heavy, but what did he really know, considering where he was from. ] Punch sounds great.

[ Already taking steps in that direction. ]

[ Smiles a little bit as he walks. ] I heard around here that they did this last year. I'm surprised the same trick worked twice.

I think there aren't enough actual people on the town side of things to really keep us from throwing parties.

It's not really about numbers, though. You don't need them to keep this from happening. [ Personal experience says this, at least. ]

Well, mum's the word, but last I heard "power" was something they were scrambling to maintain. Can't waste it on this.

Makes sense, I guess. Why kill the ant when you should kill the spider, I guess?

Exactly. We're just ants in the full picture.

And ants can do some crazy shit if there's enough of them working towards the same goal.

They can change an entire town in hours, after all.

[ Small smile. Punch is good, at least. He releases her arm so he can get cups for both of them. ]

Exactly. I don't mind being an ant, in that regard.

[ The grin widens a little bit. It is knowing, though. He takes a quick sip of the punch. ]

Where I'm from, the ants won.

I didn't do anything. [ Small smile. ] I was just there, Heather.
