PROM, PART 2

Who: Everyone!
What: Mayfield Prom
Where: Rec Center
When: May 18 starting at 7:00PM
Warnings: ...Mayfield Prom.
The log will be split into two entries to keep the size manageable. In this thread is the Stage, Wallflowers and King & Queen ceremony!
---
Because he can't stop himself from making a movie reference, the theme of this year's Prom is "Enchantment Under the Sea". (Don't get too freaked out, Marty McFly.) Equipment has been moved out, seating has been set near tables and walls, and a makeshift stage has been constructed to host the DJing equipment. Quinn has music up until 2010, so a large variety of music will get played. There's plenty of food and drinks - including spiked, and very-much-not-spiked punch (magically protected, thanks to Ilsa). In a corner is a small set up for people who wish to get their photos taken by Tsukasa.
The party is under way - have yourselves a good time, Mayfield!

[She smiles, her fangs gleaming a little as the light catches them when she speaks.]
Mika. I'm Mika Whitepaws.
[Her tail wags as she cocks her head, the gesture incredibly canine.]
This event is called a prom, it's short for 'promenade' and it's a social event where young adults can dance and enjoy each other's company. It's a sort of coming-of-age ceremony, I think. More like a very large party where the focus is on dancing and music and having a good time. Does that help?

[He chuckles, not at all minding her fangs. He's used to fangs in his own mouth, after all.]
It's a pleasure to meet you. And so helpful too! So it's for wigglers about to become adults. I like the idea! Much more fun than what I went through. Dancing though...
[He's not entirely sure what to make of the dancing still.]

[An eyebrow arches as she considers him for a moment.]
So, you used to be one of the trolls, right? But yes, dancing's always been a very social event for humans. Similar to howling for wolves, though I think you might have possibly called them barkbeasts.

[He nods at the next bit.]
I've never danced before. Not like this at least! It looks fun.

[Her tail wags as she smiles.]
You could always try it? You might like it.

[He gives her an inviting, but mischievous smile.]
no subject
W-well, I suppose I could, but I'm not very good at it.

[Her smile is sheepish as she steps away from the wall, favoring her right leg.]

I don't see why! Shall we?
