PROM, PART 2

Because he can't stop himself from making a movie reference, the theme of this year's Prom is "Enchantment Under the Sea". (Don't get too freaked out, Marty McFly.) Equipment has been moved out, seating has been set near tables and walls, and a makeshift stage has been constructed to host the DJing equipment. Quinn has music up until 2010, so a large variety of music will get played. There's plenty of food and drinks - including spiked, and very-much-not-spiked punch (magically protected, thanks to Ilsa). In a corner is a small set up for people who wish to get their photos taken by Tsukasa.

The party is under way - have yourselves a good time, Mayfield!

I just feel bad not talking about it, I guess. But I'm a little too embarrassed.

You don't need to feel bad. Most people have things they're not comfortable talking about.

I do feel a little better, though, so thanks for that at least.

I bounce back pretty fast. It's one of my good points.

It's a pretty good thing, yes. Just make sure not to keep all sad feelings inside. [ Doing such a thing can be quite devastating for a person. ]

I won't. I'm gonna do some pretty heavy-duty crying and ice cream eating as soon as I get home tonight, don't worry about that.

[ She chuckles lightly at the enthusiasm. ] Well, as long as you don't bottle it up, that probably works just fine.

If you would ever want it, I can make you parfaits. As many as you'd like.

Yes. I used to make them al the time back home, but I don't get to make them as much here. [ Well, if she wasnts to make sure they're eaten, otherwise she could just do an endless amount of them. ]

You should open up a shop or something!

[ She tilts her head to the side at that. Her? Owning a shop? ]

I've just never thought of starting up a business of my own.

It'd be a thing in the future though. But if I did, would you like to help me?

Yeah, definitely! I have a waitress outfit and everything!

Oh, you do? Have you worked as a waitress before, too?

Yeah, I had a part-time job at a cafe a few summers ago before I came to Mayfield, and I worked at the cosplay cafe Taiwan had going here before she got droned too.

That sounds like a lot of fun. [ Not the droning, of course, but the rest. ] Did you enjoy it?

It was a lot of fun! The cosplay cafe was better, though.

I cosplayed once, at the family restaurant I worked at back home. Kazue-san said it would freshen up the air and bring more customers. It was quite fun.

Yeah, it's definitely a good way to pull in customers.
