Because he can't stop himself from making a movie reference, the theme of this year's Prom is "Enchantment Under the Sea". (Don't get too freaked out, Marty McFly.) Equipment has been moved out, seating has been set near tables and walls, and a makeshift stage has been constructed to host the DJing equipment. Quinn has music up until 2010, so a large variety of music will get played. There's plenty of food and drinks - including spiked, and very-much-not-spiked punch (magically protected, thanks to Ilsa). In a corner is a small set up for people who wish to get their photos taken by Tsukasa.

The party is under way - have yourselves a good time, Mayfield!

[Yuna tries to laugh it off, but it just ends in a sigh.]

Yeah... I guess maybe I am.

I um... I'm not really sure what I can do... but do you want to talk about it?

You have to keep it a secret, okay? It's... kind of about me and someone else, and I don't want to make them any more uncomfortable than I already have if it gets back to them.

Huh? I... Of course! I'll take this secret to my grave, Yuna-san!

Okay.

[Yuna takes a deep breath to psyche herself up before pointing down at Rin Kagamine.]

You know Rin, right? I, uh... I kind of have a crush on her, and I tried to kiss her a little while ago. It... didn't really go so well.

Yuna-san... [ Madoka looks down. She can only imagine how painful that would be. To help herself picture it, she even imagines Sayaka in that situation. The mental image is enough to get Madoka to lean in Yuna's direction and give her a hug. ] I'm sorry. I'm sorry that happened...

[Yuna just sits there for a moment before she hugs back, heaving a deep sigh and trying to stay cheery. It's not working as well as it usually does. She's smiling, but there's tears welling up at the sides of her eyes.]

I feel pretty stupid right now.

[fatedmagica]

Yuna-san... Don't.

[ Tightening the hug just a bit, to reassure her. ] Those sorts of feelings are never stupid...

But what if...

[Yeah, just crying now.]

What if I ruined our friendship?

[ Madoka is getting a bit teary eyed too, because she just feels so horrible for poor Yuna. ]

You didn't, you definitely didn't. For you to feel that way for her... she's definitely a wonderful person who won't change over this.

I really hope so... I don't think I could take it if she never wanted to talk to me again.

Don't worry, that won't happen! It definitely won't, so don't worry, Yuna-san... please...

O-okay...

[She's just gonna hug Madoka and finish crying this frustration out into her shoulder, though. First love is hard and it hurts so much.]

[ And Madoka will hold her tight until her sobs quiet. ]

Y-yeah... thanks, Madoka.

Nn-nn. It's nothing. Do you want to stay here? Or maybe we could go out and get milkshakes, or claim the whole bowling ally to ourselves or something...?

[ Worried friend is worried. ]

It's okay, I think I'll be fine now.

[Yuna gazes out over the dance floor again in the direction of Rin and Len.]

Besides, I have to come out and support her when the votes for Prom Queen come in. I should do at least that much even if I did kind of mess things up between us, y'know?

Mm... right. I'll help you, okay? Let's root for her, together!

Right! Let's cheer until we can't cheer anymore!
