Because he can't stop himself from making a movie reference, the theme of this year's Prom is "Enchantment Under the Sea". (Don't get too freaked out, Marty McFly.) Equipment has been moved out, seating has been set near tables and walls, and a makeshift stage has been constructed to host the DJing equipment. Quinn has music up until 2010, so a large variety of music will get played. There's plenty of food and drinks - including spiked, and very-much-not-spiked punch (magically protected, thanks to Ilsa). In a corner is a small set up for people who wish to get their photos taken by Tsukasa.

The party is under way - have yourselves a good time, Mayfield!

[There's another fellow wallflower wizard standing nearby. Curiosity and boredom had led him to attend this Muggle Yule Ball, but he sure as hell isn't dancing or anything, choosing to instead lean against the wall and observe yet another Muggle custom. Unsure of what to wear either, he had opted for normal, everyday clothes; a checker collared shirt and a pair of pants. It's not like he had anyone to impress anyway. ]

[His reply is short, and lacking much of his usual nastiness. Still, Malfoy raises an eyebrow over Neville's attire for the evening, before rolling his eyes.]

I may not know, or even care to know, about Muggle clothing but honestly Longbottum, have you looked at yourself in the mirror? You look ridiculous.

I shouldn't be surprised that this is the best you could come up with. That ugly thing you wore back at the Yuleball scared all the girls away.

What is this...prom, anyway? It seems to be some cheap imitation of the Yuleball.

From the way everyone's talking, it's some sort of American Muggle thing.

[Eh, he's lost most of his steam for bullying people. Instead, he's going to have a very unamused look on his face as he watches everyone around them dancing and drinking.]

For them to get drunk and make a fool out of themselves? Typical.

From what Ilsa said, they're not supposed to be getting drunk. The age for that's really high in America.

Still, he hmphs and crosses his arms.]

She... she doesn't say witch, but she knows about magic. She helped me set up my garden.

[He looks interested at that, but in his experience in town he's seen some of the magic users at work. It's not the same as what he ha-, used to have.
