Because he can't stop himself from making a movie reference, the theme of this year's Prom is "Enchantment Under the Sea". (Don't get too freaked out, Marty McFly.) Equipment has been moved out, seating has been set near tables and walls, and a makeshift stage has been constructed to host the DJing equipment. Quinn has music up until 2010, so a large variety of music will get played. There's plenty of food and drinks - including spiked, and very-much-not-spiked punch (magically protected, thanks to Ilsa). In a corner is a small set up for people who wish to get their photos taken by Tsukasa.

The party is under way - have yourselves a good time, Mayfield!

[Man, why was he here? It was sort of neat to see everyone, but it was noisy, and dancing was kind of awkward, and everyone was so old...

Oh! Mindy! Mindy was familiar. He could go talk to Mindy.]

[Yup. That's totally talking to her. He's gotten all dressed up, too... although not that well. There was a suit in his closet of Mayfield clothes, and he's wearing it.]

[Forgive him, he was outside trying to build his confidence. For a good, long while. He thinks he's finally gotten the courage to go and seek her out.

And he just has to do his damnedest to not give in and run. It's a stupid feeling and he just stands across the room staring at her for a moment. God. He's done so much more difficult and terrifying shit than trying to ask a girl to dance. This should be a piece of cake.

So why can't he get himself to move?

Finally, after a minute that seems to stretch into eternity, he manages to get his feet to move over to her.]

So how come your here? I thought proms were for teenagers?
[Henry knows he's only a kid but he was kind of invited...sort of. Plus he heard anyone non drone could go but he didn't expect to see adults.]

What is this...prom, anyway? It seems to be some cheap imitation of the Yuleball.

[Shadow had been told that it would be a sweet gesture to bring Rainbow Dash to prom. But he never said anything about dancing at prom.

While everyone's busy being sociable and having a good time, Shadow, having gone with pretty minimalist attire, is standing aside and wondering how Rarity managed to talk him into this.]
