You would...will you teach me?

(That blush gets even brighter as she looks up to Patchy, her eyes shining with anticipation.)

I don't see why not... Having an apprentice could be nice, actually.
magicalrealist: (It's really true!)

(Why yes, that was a squee; no matter how Twilight may deny it, that was certainly a squee.)

I'll be the best student I can be!

Mm... And I'll try to be a fair teacher. -It'll be her first time, really...-
magicalrealist: (Hooray~)

[personal profile] magicalrealist 2012-02-16 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
I'm sure you'll be great!
wizardoftheweek: (The faintest smile)

And I appreciate the vote of confidence... -Especially from her, though she could hardly explain why.-
magicalrealist: (It's really true!)

I'm not sure what to call it exactly, but I know you can do it. It might be easier say it's "faith."

(Twilight's more for fact than faith, but with the strange mixture of feelings she has for Patchy, faith in her talent remains logical. Though the flowers did have influence over that hug for her new teacher.)
wizardoftheweek: (give it a tease)

[personal profile] wizardoftheweek 2012-02-16 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, but... Here I am getting distracted. We should keep reading, yes?
magicalrealist: (Wait a minute...)

[personal profile] magicalrealist 2012-02-16 04:34 am (UTC)(link)
Oh...yes, yes of course! I have much to learn and this book is an excellent start.

(Twilight snuggles up against Patchy a bit more, her eyes returning to the book. She never thought she could enjoy reading with others, but Patchy was different. There was a lot she and the unicorn had in common, but it took until this day to realize just how much they shared.)

-And thus back to the grimoire they went, page after page. Over time, Patchy seemed to become more and more comfortable with the pony. In fact, a few chapters in, the pages stopped turning...

... Patchouli had fallen asleep, completely at ease with Twilight there. Probably some of the most restful sleep she'd had in some time.-
magicalrealist: (That's really nice but...)

(She wondered why the pages stopped turning, but it made sense when Twilight looked up at her sleeping teacher. Just seeing her sleep so peacefully brought a warm smile to the unicorn's face.

She didn't dare try to wake her, but instead rested her head against her and closed her eyes. Twilight never felt so comfortable before, so within moments, the unicorn joined her new teacher in sleep.

-It would probably be slightly awkward when they woke up... But that small little slice of paradise in that tiny moment in the otherwise hellish world of Mayfield? It was welcome. And even once the flowers and their scents faded away, Patchy would likely still cherish the memory... Even if she never said it.-
magicalrealist: (Hug me?)

[personal profile] magicalrealist 2012-02-17 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
(Perhaps the tiniest bit awkward, but that didn't mean Twilight wouldn't want to remember it; not in the slightest. This went beyond improving her magical prowess, even beyond having a new teacher...this was making a very special friend. This would be their special secret, and flowers or not, Twilight will still appreciate Patchy and her magical helping hands.)
