[Kyon came into his house to sit on the couch after school, Haruhi not far behind. He took a glance at the flowers on the table. They'd just turned up yesterday out of the blue, like many things do in Mayfield. ... They didn't have that fragrance before now though, did they?]

... Y, yeah. [ Because it just is. And she'll just be blushing slightly over here before - ] Do you want to go out?

[ If Kyon takes that the wrong way, he'll get bonus points. ]

[ Internally, Haruhi's like this; she's freaking out so much right now. ]

[ But her outward appearance shows her as ridiculously calm - it's so unlike her, but it's different. And sort of nice. ]

U-uh... [... She isn't berating him for being stupid?] ... S-sure!

That's good. [ She'll immediately grab Kyon's arm with hers, clinging onto it sort of like Chihiro in that one Ghibli movie, but I digress while nuzzling her head on his shoulder. ] Where should we go, though?

Anywhere is fine with me, I guess?

[ For a moment, she ponders about her options, before speaking softly. ] How about the diner? We went there last time.

[slave_of_suzumiya]

Sure.

[Um, uh... K-kiss~!?]

[extraordinarily]

[ Haruhi's eyes widen when he kisses her, her face turning completely beet red. She's tempted to just simply get angry at him, but she refrains from doing so. It's nice - and this time, it's a bit different from those previous times that they kissed. After all, the only reason he did so before was because he was worried or something was wrong with her. ]

Let's go. ... And I'll pay this time.

Sounds good to me.

[ And so off the duo go to the diner? ]

[Off they go!]

[ Fortunately for Kyon, though, she won't drag him there - she'll just walk besides him, latching herself on Kyon's arm like a cute girlfriend. Even though the two of them weren't exactly an 'official' couple.

When they get inside, she'll find a table for four (even though there were only two of them) so they can sit next to each other. ]

[As they sit next to each other, he'll go ahead and wrap an arm around her~?]

[ Haruhi won't mind that at all. Honestly, it's fine. And so after that, Haruhi will stare at the menu before ordering something. And did we forget to mention that she wants to share a drink with Kyon? Because that's what's happening. ]

[Sharing a drink sounds nice... Just make sure it's a big one?]

[ Don't worry, don't worry. Haruhi isn't a complete idiot. They'll share a big milkshake. ]

I never really expected that we'd... y'know, go out on an actual date...
