Jetpacks Was Yes!
Who: Tatsuki Arisawa and Touma Kamijou
What: First date!... WITH A TWEEST!
Where: Starting at 840 Hastings, seeing where that takes us
When: February 13th, early afternoon.
Warning: Casually flirtatious Touma and yandere Tatsuki. Do the math.
[ If she knew her American holidays any better, Tatsuki would probably find it somewhat amusing that they'd picked today for their first date. Maybe pushed it back a day for the hell of it, too. Well, it was her first, at least. For him, it was just the first he knew of. It was kind of odd how okay with that she was; she opted to justify it by thinking that if he was anything like he is now before losing his memory, she didn't have much to worry about as far as his past was concerned.
All she was worried about now was what was in front of her. After the embarrassingly awkward situation she caused while asking him out, she was hoping to make a good enough impression to bounce back. Her aggressive nature didn't lend itself to taking things slowly, but if that was what he wanted, she was prepared to acquiesce.
As much as she probably should have been, Tatsuki wasn't especially wary that the flowers were so in bloom. It wasn't really the sort of thing one would take notice of in a place like Mayfield, though; Spring was probably just coming early, she figured. She'd only arrived in Autumn, so it wasn't as though she had a point of reference. Still, stopping to smell them was not her best idea, but there were hyacinths in bloom in front of 840 Hastings, and she did have a soft spot for them. So, she rang the doorbell, then knelt down to admire them up close.
For a moment, she wondered if she should have looked nicer for Touma, but brushed it aside. The only other outfit she had was her school uniform, anyway. ]

Was she ever this hung up on her looks before?
Well, if anything, it was just a sign of how much she cared what he thought of her, and really, where else would he get that? She sprung up on the balls of her feet and leaned forward, planting a quick kiss on his cheek. ] Hey, you. [ The way they carried themselves, between Touma's calm demeanor and Tatsuki's schoolgirl giddiness, you'd think he was two years her senior, rather than the other way around. ]
Shall we go, Touma-kun?

And she catches his eye for just a moment too long for him to be able to react to her leaning in. Half of him was surprised by the move, and that's why there was a faint bit of color on those cheeks.
The other half? He was fighting with the grin that just screamed "Score!" ] Absolutely. [ Keys in hand, he stepped out, locked the door, and then stepped off the porch. ] C'mon. Much as I wanna talk to you, we shouldn't waste the night standing around.

[ There was a slight air of satisfaction about her with the knowledge that she could make him smile, and she takes his hand and follows close beside him. Very close. Rather intrusively close, in fact, not that he'd mind. They were meant for each other, after all. It was only natural she not let him out of reach. ]
Where to first, then? I was thinking lunch, but I'll let you decide.

I am totally down for that. Maybe it was just working there, but I'm not a big fan of the diner, anyway.

Can't help but feel nervous at that tone change, though. ] A friend from home. She's been here a bit longer than I have. [ And not just to try and smooth things over — as hot on his mind as that idea is — but also to give some context: ] I think she's from the future.

[Nothing about what she says, or her tone of voice, suggests anything but polite conversation. She speaks gently, and there's no real edge to her voice. Yet somehow she manages to give off very unnerving vibes.]

You shouldn't read too much into anything she says.

[In particular, it's the inflection she puts on the word "handle" that's a bit off.]
Let's just focus on today, for now.

I was surprised how gung-ho you were about all this in the first place. I couldn't imagine it happening, from before.
no subject
What's so surprising? If I have a chance at a catch like you, I have to reel you in while I still can.

Smugly. ] But I'm okay with that.
