Who: Zidane, Bella, Crowe, Django and Charlie.
What: An investigation of the Smiths' house begins!
Where: 501 Ricardo Street
When: The night of the 15th August.
Warnings: None yet but this is the Smiths' house, guys. It will be a miracle if these guys get out with nothing bad happening to them.

[Now was the night. Zidane, Crowe, Bella, Charlie and Django would try and explore the Smiths’ house to see if they can find new information. Bella, Charlie and Django were to distract the family while Zidane and Crowe would explore the house.

Would they find any useful information in the house? Who knows? But it's worth a try, right?]

[OOC: The log is split into two threads - one with Zidane and Crowe and the other with Bella, Django and Charlie. This'll make things flow more easily, expecially since there's five muses! XD]

Zidane and Crowe

[Zidane was more worried about Crowe's safety than his own. Lucy Smith - no, Zemekis - must have been pretty powerful if nobody actually managed to escape this town. Whether Zidane could fight back with his daggers or Trance powers, he did not know - but if Crowe could escape unhurt, that would be good enough for him. Even though Zidane knew from personal experience that getting burnt to death was not exactly the most fun experience (not that it was Django's fault).

He pointed towards the back of the house and beckoned Crowe to follow. Perhaps they could make it through the back door and upstairs?]

[Crowe knew exactly what they were in for. He knows what Lucy is capable of, and breaking into her house is going to be infinitely worse than they time they broke into City Hall.

Still, it had to be done. Crowe has vowed that he will do almost anything necessary for investigation. As long as it got them at least one piece of useful information, then any pain was worth it.

Crowe nodded at Zidane and silently followed after. He made sure to bring along a bag with his lock picks if they needed them, along with a flashlight, his camera, and his gun. You never knew what might happen in here.]

[Meanwhile, Zidane started scaling the fence into the back garden. Hopefully, they would at least get to explore part of upstairs before they got caught. The thief had not been in the Smiths' house before but had a good guess that it was likely much more dangerous than the rest of Mayfield if the mastermind lived there.

Oh, well. The best he could do was find out as much as possible and protect Crowe with the best of his ability.

Once at the bottom, Zidane looked over his shoulder to see if Crowe had made it over the fence, too.

[Crowe was up and over the fence in a flash, and found a good hiding spot against the house near some greenery to lay low for a few minutes. He wanted to keep an ear out for the other half of the mission out front to get in a suitable distraction before moving into the house.]

[There seemed to be a discussion going on in the house, if the muffled voices were any indication.]

[Zidane, crouching on the ground with his back to the wall, glanced in the direction of the back door. He was not sure if it was just the Smiths talking amongst themselves or the other team distracting them. Either way, would now be a good time to go in?

He crept slowly and quietly towards the door so that he could hear more clearly]

[Crowe would listen to see where the voices were coming from. If they were that muffled, they probably weren't coming from the side of the house they were on. Maybe. He would try the door first to see if it's unlocked, to make sure he didn't need to use his picks on it.]

[The door is locked, but susceptible to lockpicking. The conversation, meanwhile, seems to be getting more heated. Zidane can faintly hear the following:]

"-getting worse and worse! And she just sits up there-"

"Shut up! Shut up! Do you want him to hear!? You can get yourself tortured if you want, but leave me out of it!"

"We have to do something! At this rate we're all going to..."

[The speaker's voice lowers; he's still speaking, but Zidane can't make it out.]

[Getting worse and worse....? What was that all about? Zidane tried to hear more after the voice lowered but could not make out anything. He sighed. Maybe they had to go into the house to have a look.

He turned to Crowe trying to open the door. The other thief did bring lockpicks, right? Zidane himself had not regained any yet.]

[Crowe could make quick work of the lock with his picks, so he'd set to work. Mayfield's locks were no match for him. He was hesitant to open the door, though, in case those voices were coming from the adjacent room. He wasn't sure if the distraction squad had gone into action yet. He'd try very carefully to peek into the nearest window to make sure no one was there.]
