Another Desperate Revival Case ( Encounter)

Who: Conan Edogawa | Shinichi Kudo ([personal profile] 1_truth), Gin ([personal profile] shadesofgray)
When: A few days after Gin's arrival
Where: Mostly inside a walk in freezer
WARNINGS: Hardcore Child abuse. Gin. Language and Gin. (not the Alcohol)

Conan had not left the house in the past couple of days, instead he took up the very unhealthy habit of watching the street from behind a window with baited breath. One might have thought that he expected a monster to stroll down the road with the intent of destroying everything in its path. It was a possibility in a place like Mayfield, but since monster's didn't scare Edogawa Conan it was easy enough to guess that what he was expecting or on the look out for was far worse than a monster.

He'd hardly eaten and hadn't slept well lately, his complexion turning pale and almost sickly as he fell into what someone might mistake as a depression. When night fell the small boy would proceed about his nightly routines as normal but it wasn't uncommon for his nightmares to wake him up. When morning broke he once again stationed himself by the window to peek out the blinds. He stayed in the same place until well into midday before the thing he'd been watching for just so happened to be walking down the road.

Conan felt his heart starting to beat faster in his chest and cast a glance back at the clock on the wall. He knew he shouldn't follow Gin after very recently asking someone to find the assassin right after telling them how potentially dangerous it would be for Conan to do it, but if Gin just happened to cross by the house and Conan followed him just to see where he went... well.. that was different than looking for him right?

No. Following him now is just as dangerous as it would be to actively seek him out. ...But then again.. he can't lock himself in the house forever, Mayfield would never accept the idea of him being home schooled. He had to know which places to avoid and if he'd need to find a new route to school. Besides, it wasn't like he intended to do anything more than see where Gin was going. After he knew that he'd just go home and return to waiting on the information he requested-no one need ever know he left the house.

With another look back at the clock, Conan finally chose to slip out of the house, keeping low and crouching by the banister, intent on keeping a safe distance between him and Gin.

It didn't take long for the sensation of someone watching him to kick in, unfortunately for Conan. Whether he spotted him on the road or while he was busy cutting a large cow to pieces didn't matter; he didn't make it seem like anything more than brief suspicion after all.

But he recognized this boy. He'd seen him before, while ordering an agent to gun down another- the boy from Tokyo tower...

The one who had, somehow, managed to launch something up at the helicopter he was in, thereby sending it quite out of control and causing it to explode.

He narrowed his eyes at the memory, but otherwise said nothing, instead vanishing (apparently) to the back of the butchery and into one of the less viewable rooms. If he was right, the boy was still watching, but not from an angle or position he could ever start to see him right now...

Which left him at a rather swift advantage.
