though their days have hurried by [closed]
Who: Archer Extra and Ciel.
What: Establishing a contract.
Where: The Church.
When: July 22th.
Warnings: Should be nothing aside from possible Fate/Extra and/or Tsukihime spoilers.
[Night has fallen over Mayfield. The last dying rays of the sun have finally faded and now there's only darkness.
Archer feels more at home in shadows like these than he feels comfortable admitting. The trees of his beloved Sherwood forest were the sort to grow densely together, as if to blot out the sun and conceal everything within from prying eyes. It was an isolated world, he remembers; the only sounds that of birdsong and the chittering of animals, the soft breathing of the wind through the branches. Everything cloaked in a cool, green shade - everything hidden if it knew how to hide.
As he had known how to hide. Crouching in the brush, perched high up above the ground - as a crownless king with nothing but poison and arrows to serve him, there was only defeat to be found in the open.
Archer shakes off that thought as he heads for the church. He moves silently across town, flitting from roof to roof with a superhuman ease. The magic that now sustains his current existence won't last forever; Archer knows better than to ignore his limitations, even as a Servant. It's what had made him clash so bitterly with Dan Blackmore - the old man, acting out of his own ideals, had ignored them. Has foisted a stifling honor upon a Servant who had never once been able to act as a knight.
(Archer grits his teeth, ignores the conflicting pangs of emotion filling him, and kicks off of the next rooftop. His bow, while lacking its usual power, is a comforting weight where it's attached to his arm.)
But hopefully, if Ciel accepts his proposal, it'll be different.]

busy being emostubborn to go look for a contractor on his own. Having observed, grazed by, even fought against such entities before, the massive amount of prana the presence of a Servant carries is unmistakable. Already well-versed about the Archer's class ability Independent Action, and gauging how quickly this one dressed in green took action...He's got at least a few more days. There is no rush. Knowing that the man is very prudent and cautious of nature despite the relatively short amount of time that's passed since their first meeting back in June, the fact that he's headed here... Does say something on its own, doesn't it?
Mm, she doesn't discard the notion that he came to her for 'consultation'. Maybe she'll have some good suggestions! But putting aside 'what-ifs', there's also that option which, all things considered, is quite realistic a prospect and may just be the most likely to occur. He has seen her work, and if she may say so herself... She's got something of an affinity for archers herself, if her codename at the Agency wasn't already indicative enough.
He'll spot her outside behind the Church, idly standing in the field where a small cove of trees stood besides the storage shed that housed unused gardening supplies. She'd get some tea started and greet him by the front door, but that's for casual visits. She's got a feeling that while he wouldn't mind making that sort of call, the occasion for tonight would be more... business-like, say.
But no sense speculating; he'll be here soon. They can discuss matters more at length in person.]
