[After kicking out the drone of Nox from what he thinks is their bedroom, she collapsed for the night. Emmett had been droned, but his things were still there, so she hadn't been too worried, and sleep had come to her easily after nearly a week in that other Mayfield.]

[She hadn't been expecting to wake up with another person in her bed, and before freaking out like her first day in Mayfield, she checks the framed picture she keeps on the nightstand. She's at least glad to have the drone of Nox gone, and someone she trusts in his place. After a moment of processing, she pokes Wes.]

Well, I can't say that I'd disagree with blowing up the enemy's things. Were you in command of this squadron?

Second. I'd been training recruits for a while, and Wedge asked for help with his new harebrained scheme.

Training recruits is a good skill to have. And sometimes harebrained schemes are the ones that work the best.

It wound up working out better than anyone expected. Harebrained was really the only thing that kept us going, early on.

Of course, all strategists need some time to learn a few things.

A sensible strategist would have run from the sort of odds we were harebraining our way around.

The most sensible of strategist know sometime you have to do something a bit crazy to get on top.
