Operation Preperation (hehe it ryhmes)

Who: Henry, Sue and anyone going to the fun house
What: Prep party for the little house of horrors.

When: Sometime during the day after this (Exact Date the 25th)
Warnings: Just note sharing of what happened in West Port. No posting order just mingle amongst yourselves.

[Well Henry and Sue had a fun time shopping for supplies, but Henry thought it might be a good idea to let others in on this, so they could bounce ideas off of one another on what they should bring and stuff. He could also share the notes Lucas let him copy for those who still haven't seen them. So Henry has filtered the phone and made a call to everyone going to the fun house. Henry was pretty much done his packing but he had room for more and could still carry it too. But anyways, at the moment he's sitting in the living room repacking and making a list of what he has so far. The door is open for others to come in or perhaps they're already here sitting around the coffee table with their own things.]

[Similarly, Sue sits across from across from Henry, loading up her own bag, while Puffy is curled up on a pillow taking a little nap.]

Alright, I managed to fit everything on my list in here. How about you? Have you thought of anything we might have forgotten?

No, not really. We have rope, food, water, clothes, compasses, first aid kits, toliet paper, flashlights, pocket knives, notebooks, pens and our own notes on what happened at West port [because probably has her own and if she doesn't has probably copied Henry's.]

So I think we have it all.

I'm glad that you mentioned that bat you're bringing, or else I might have forgotten to bring the one Scout got me for my birthday! Ranged weapons are great, but it's good to have a weapon for closed combat too!

Did you find an extra flashlight, by the way? I think it'd be useful to have one for Puffy to carry around too!

I don't even have anything that's ranged... that might have been a good idea. Maybe a slingshot?

[Henry does nod though to her question. He pulls out a small flash light from under the table handing it to Sue.]

I thought something smaller would be good for Puffy. Oh and extra batteries, we may need those too.

A slingshot might be handy! Do you have one?

Oh, I've got extra batteries in my bag!

I don't think so, maybe there's one lying around the house. But that's good, we may need those.

[Henry gets up to go look around for a sling shot. He comes back a couple minutes later holding one, plus a bag of marbles.]

I found one! I think it's from the drone who used to live in my room.

Alright! Good thinking to look there, Henry! You'll make a great adventurer!

[Around the appointed time others are suppose to show up, Tachikoma rolls up to the open door. The size and shape of Tachikoma makes going through doors pretty difficult, and since Tachikoma hasn't met anybody here yet today, it decides to gain attention with a knock and calling out.]

...Hello? Is this where people are getting ready to go into the Funhouse? Can I help? I really would like to take a look inside!

[Oh someone's at the door!]

[Henry gets up to go answer and when he does, he's honestly surprised. He was expecting a person....but it's some...robot thing.]

[Oh wow, what is that? It looks kind of like that thing Sunny used to have following around her, except bigger!]

The more the merrier! And we definitely want everyone who wants to look inside the Funhouse to be prepared!

Oh good! It's always a good idea to prepare for a mission, even if its something as simple as information gathering! I hope I can be of help with that!

And I'm not exactly a robot. While I am mechanical and can perform tasks autonomously or with an occupant guiding me, I'm actually an AI that controls this tank body which is more advanced than most programs used for robots and is able to work completely independent of this body on a network even!

[Yeah, you lost him robot Ai thing, but it sounds pretty cool, like from Iron man or something. Yeah he reads Marvel, thank you Disney Marvel merger.]

[Tachikoma tries to figure out how to get through the doorway again. It's not as easy as it looks... Maybe if it balances on its side?]

I'm Henry and this is Sue. We've just been packing food, water, stuff we might need when we go into the fun house. Just in case we're in there for a few days.

And some things to protect ourselves, in case we need to do that.

It sounds like you're really planning ahead! Did you pack flashlights or something to keep in contact with your group as well?

[Yeah, this isn't really working too well. Tachikoma is like a small car. And small cars aren't really made to get through suburban door frames...]

...I'm just seeing if I can get inside. It's pretty hard to do, which is why I'm usually always outside...

Yeah, we have flashlights, but I don't know if they have walkie talkie around Mayfield.

[Oh right, why did he just miss the obvious problem here?]

Maybe we could try the back door?

Oh, well, maybe if you have something which can receive shortwave radio frequencies, I can broadcast messages to it. But then I'd have to be a relay for any communications if you can't find a way to transmit with it...

Is the back door larger? At times like this, I wish my rear pod was more easily detachable, I'm pretty sure I could get my front half through with some maneuvering...

...do you have a radio, Henry?

[Yea, Sue didn't quite get all of that either.]

A radio works, but most commercial brands receive radio waves in the Very High Frequency band. I was suggesting a shortwave radio frequencies since CB radios can be used to transmit over them.

Though I guess in an emergency I could send out a signal on such high frequencies. It's just not a good idea to do so under normal circumstances since most countries have those frequencies reserved for certain programs or government institutions.

[Henry's lost again.]

Um...why don't you just break through the door instead? Mayfield fixes everything up the next day right?

[Jenny's there and the frown on her face shows the disapproval she has with Henry going into the fun house. This place is going to be dangerous and, while she'd applaud the boy for going above and beyond the normal expectations of what a child would do, the boy is a bit too close to her for her to be comfortable with his risking himself in this place.]

You're serious about going?

[There was an underlying 'you shouldn't' be going. in that question, but she wouldn't tell him not to go.]

[Everyone keeps asking that same question. But the young boy nods.]

Yeah, I want answers and I want to help everyone get of this town.

[Henry doesn't seem himself as a hero though, he's just kind of trying to help move things along.]

[Jenny couldn't really argue. If it were her she'd be doing the same thing at that age, and something told her that she'd be letting any kid of hers do it too. She'd just be keeping close tabs on them. Something she planned on doing with Henry.]

Alright, but two conditions.

[She ticked one finger up.]

I teach you how to shoot a gun that you'll be bringing with you. And two,

[She ticked up a second finger.]

You stick by my side the whole time. Got it?

H-huh? A gun?

[He's really not sure if he should be taking a gun. But he can tell Jenny is very concerned with about him. So he nods slowly.]

All right...I just hope I don't have to use it. And I will. Thanks Jenny. Is it okay if my friend Sue comes with us?

[She nods. Another kid, just great.]

Yeah, she's been on adventures and stuff before and she has magic.
