We missed the flower viewing ✿ Back dated to 8th June

She done as well as she could with what little she had. Having to organize everything herself was more tiresome than she thought and for a party so small, she really wished she had Youmu around to help her. Never the less, a seasonal celebration was just what she needed and in a way she couldn’t help but feel a little proud of the work. Granted, other people did the heavy things but that’s beside the point.

It wasn’t quite the same as the celebrations she held back home but it would do. A table she’d found in the garage had been neatly set up with snacks and drinks and there were folded blankets for people to use if they didn’t want to sit directly on the grass. A small area had also been cleared near the back of the garden for people to perform. All in all, lackluster but better than nothing.

The gates were open and hopefully people would come and join her.

[ooc] This is a free for all so feel free to mingle amongst yourselves. Anyone Yuyuko’s hired to perform, feel free to start a thread for your performance if you’d like. But really, this is just meant to be laid back.

Chen was also disappointed by the lack of a flower viewing celebration; she absolutely loved observing their beauty while still in a crowd of others from Gensokyo. There was that whole Valentines Day thing with flowers everywhere; despite the wacky effects it had on everyone, the cat girl counted that as flower viewing.

So of course, when she noticed the work Yuyuko put into arranging her home, she just absolutely had to stop by and see what was going on.

"Hi, Lady Yuyuko! Are you holding a celebration?"

Oh! Her first guest!

Yuyuko turns to Chen with a smile and offers her one of the sweet pastries from the table.

"That's right, since I wasn't able to hold a flower viewing this year I thought I might hold a small party for the start of summer instead."

Oooooh, delicious pastries! Pastries were always the best; especially when they were delicious! Chen happily takes one of them and nibbles away at it, visibly satisfied by it.

"That sounds like a great idea! Can I help make it better?"

Hmm, there wasn't really anything else that needed doing. The garden was fixed up, everything was set out. As long as it was lively there was nothing else that one could do to improve it. Within reason of course. There were lots of ways to make it better but none of them were possible in this place.

"Just as long as you enjoy yourself, that's all I ask. Also if you could help me clean up afterwards."

"Okay! I can definitely do that!"

Give it some time and hopefully something could be figured out...hopefully.

"Your flowers are pretty, Lady Yuyuko!?

As if Reimu would ever pass up an opportunity to party, especially since she wasn't the host and didn't have to worry about cleaning up too much.

"Just kicking it back today?"

"As much as one can in a town such as this,"

Although honestly it doesn't seem that Yuyuko is any more tense than usual. Which is to say, not at all.

Reimu was already terrible with reading other people. Reading a dead girl who never seemed worried about anything? Yeah, not happening.

"It's really not so hard. With a good barrier, there's nothing to worry about, but I'm pretty sure flying would work just as well, too."

"If we set up a barrier then how would people get in? A party isn't fun with only a few guests."

Really, she isn't worried about a thing. Yuyuko has yet to experience the terror of Mayfield first hand so her opinion of the place, while not brilliant, is still a great deal better than most people.

"No, I mean on a regular basis. Putting a barrier around a party is just for keeping it private...besides, that's way too much work to bother with anyway."

Yup, lazy miko never changes. If only she could just go ahead and not give a damn about the town, then she'd be fine, but nooooooo...
