→ fourth shot; father's day.
Who: Jake English & Roxy Lalonde.
What: Father's Day is putting a spell on Ms. Wizard herself.
Where: Drive-In Theater.
When: Father's Day!
Warnings: Uh, gonna be honest, there's going to be a lot of neediness underneath the cut. Also a high chance ofprecipitation hot make outs.
This Mayfield place was really friggin' strange. He had NO idea what the hell was going on last week and the partnership of Roxy and Jake had a heavy strain placed upon them. So Mr. English thought it was upon their best interest to avoid any awkwardness by rolling up his sleeves and getting deep into the trenches. He harbored no grudges against the cutie; she was probably guilty enough as is considering the things that were said.
By trenches, he meant bum-deep in the driver's seat of a car he didn't own. He's probably breaking so many goddamn rules by doing this that he'd be punished by just about everyone if he got caught. Oh well. There was a bit of hope out there that Roxy liked her a 'bad boy' every now and then, and his intentions were honestly good! Just a simple date of sorts with the two of them, or so he planned, at the Drive-In Theater. He hadn't heard much positive feedback of the movies played, but a movie was a movie, dog nabbit!
There was a soft series of knocks against the door of Roxy's household, making 100% he had the right address down before trying. He didn't want to get a Drone that would take notice of the car and get him in trouble, no no. When she would open the door, she'd be greeted with a well-dressed Jake English, flowers in hand and a dumb grin in tow.
"Howdy, Rox."

"Howdy, Rox."

This is when she wished her mom could have helped her.
.. No, no sadness. She was done getting ready a long while ago. So, when the door was knocked against, she was quick to spring up, slipping on her white heels with no more than a second to waste.
Maybe a part of her wanted to make up for all the horseshit she was forced to say during the past week. She felt... really bad. Like, forreal.
So, when she opened the door, he would find her in a completely different color hue than her normal palette. A lot more cool, as opposed to warm, with a polka dot blue dress.
"Yo," Roxy said calmly, trying to keep her hand from shaking at the doorframe. It was just some lil get together, right? Two friends, the only ones each other had in this place, going out to forget the troubles of Mayfield.
So why was she feeling butterflies flapping in her stomach. Oh, the flowers in his hands were why. She didn't... know what to think.
"Jesus, I thought we were just going to eat burgers and watch a horror flick. Why so dressed up?"
Roxy said ironically as she was quite dressed up herself.
"Well, I mean.. hey. You look swell."
It was like she was MADE to correct herself.

"H-heavens to betsy, Roxy, why in the world are you wearing blue!? I may need a.. towel.."
Eyes bulging aside, he took time to notice how pretty she looked. Well, she *always* looked pretty. But especially so with the color palette swap and the like. He tried his best to push the thoughts out of his mind so he wasn't simply standing there like a moron, but he was doing just that for a few moments until his attention was snapped back to her.
"I.. I figured I'd give you a little something to make your day a tad bit brighter. Not too much, I do hope. The flower store does love me after my previous visits."
All rambling aside, he motioned to the car from over his shoulder before extending his hand to her. Jake wanted her to take the flowers or else he may just freak the hell out and throw them into the air in a wild panic. Once she'd do that, he'd shakily offer his other hand for her to take into her own so he could lead her to the car. Yeah, a gentleman at heart, but a rather nooby one at that. The blue was just throwing him all kinds of off.
"Come, come. We need to traverse the streets in our automobile to get to the theater. I'll drive slow enough so you don't have much to fear from a jungle boy dealing with techno doodads."
no subject
"Is it bad? I mean, I can go change if this isn't ... "
She would presumably be cut off, but either way, she hushed. He was quick in showing the flowers off and she would smile a bit.
"That's pretty damn nice of you. I didn't expect them, thats for sure," she admitted, rubbing at her collarbone nervously. But, she would take the flowers. A strong whiff of her nose caught the fragrance of lilacs -- at least that's what she thought they smelled like!
"I'm still pretty pissed you learned to drive before I did," Roxy said with a huff.
The girl was clutching the flowers in one arm and she would reach her hand down to clasp his. Was he sweating...?
"Let's blow this Popsicle stand then. You said you wanted to go see that Alien Babes vs Space Gorilla movie, didn't you? So we should get going."
She was a bit more bold, tugging HIM towards the car now. Her niceness towards him was definitely taking over. Little did she know when she phoned him to try and make amends, she'd be under some loopy spell.
no subject
"Learn? More sort of cockamamie assumption is that? You know I don't learn anything, Roxy. It's all in the hands."
The fingers on his spare hand wiggled in emphasis before she began literally tugging him to the transportation. That threw him off his non-existent groove for a moment or two until he regained his mental footing and attempted to follow her pace before his arm got separated from its socket.
"Sounds about right. Say, Roxy, it's real great that we're spending time together like this. We gotta stick together in trying times like this, don't you think?"
It was obvious that he was excited, because he mentioned how great it was before they did anything. But while he spoke, he walked around the car and opened the door up for the young lady before going on his side and doing the same. Once they were both in the car, he turned the ignition and was ready to blow this popsicle stand just like she wanted.

"Mmmmmmmmmmmmmhm, I bet you were drivin' those cars with the plastic roof from Jurassic Park since you were like two."
Roxy actually laughed a bit at the thought. Damn, they were both in isolating lifestyles, but he did kind of have his grandma...
Ah, she finally let go and stood at her side of the car. His words made her blush for a moment before she looked away, blowing it off in an attempt to look cool.
"Huh? Whatevs you say, slugger," but there was a calling that made Roxy correct herself, "I-I really like that we're spending time together too. I don't really have anyone who knows me like you do here. It makes me happy."
Fuck. Roxy grimaced as he opened the door and she'd take the time to duck inside to hide the red on her face. She was totally cheesing it!
Seatbelt on, she looked over to him with a bit of a worried expression.
"Put yours on too, dork. Here," Roxy whispered as she set the flowers in the backseat so she could tug the seatbelt over his chest and clasp it in place. Awfully close, Ro'lal.
no subject
-- Wait, he couldn't even wrap his head around things like who was his father and the like. His attempt at a joke only got him confused, and he rubbed his temples for a second before clasping his hands on the fabric of the steering wheel infront of him. No point in continuing THAT subject, nono. Time paradoxes and the like will follow suit.
"Good! I'm glad I can put a smile on that dolled up face of yours, I am. You're doing the same damn thing to me."
The toothy grin on his side was evidence of that. As she leaned forward to adjust the seatbelt, his body stiffened in the seat. Golly, she was getting awfully close to the goods, eh? A hand shyly covered his "package" and he'd weakly nod at her in appreciation, finally putting the car into drive and moving them to their destination. If she was getting that close already, what the hell was going to happen during the movie?
"So, what's the dealio with the blue you're rocking this particular evening? I know you're a forgetful lady at times, but no one forgets my fascination with the.. color. Are you trying to be a sneaky li'l chica?"
no subject
Her depression was washed away in good company. Jake and her were... rocky at best. The good friends having their fair share of problems in the past week. He was off adventuring to cope and Roxy was trying to kick an alcohol addiction.
She shifted in her seat, looking out the car windows as he made mention about the blue. She looked down at her dress with a flustered expression.
"Maybe it's just a cool color, hombre. Don't you think a cool gal like me should wear some cool colors?"
She looks over, smiling a bit.
"Why did you bring flowers? If I can't wear blue for you --" She cuts herself off scrambling a bit, "Fuck, I don't know what I'm saying anymore... I'm being retarded."
no subject
"May want to rephrase that into a head-on collision with another poor stranger, Rox'."
He'd wipe his forehead with the back of his palm nervously, glad they avoided that. Revival or not, he'd like to live as long as possible without dying, thank you.
They were nearing their destination as their conversation went on, his ears never leaving the not-so-slurred voice of Roxy. It was interesting to see her sober, but he liked it when she was a fun-loving party drunkard as well. He was ignorant enough to think that booze was harmless and he would love her sober or not.
Wait, love is a kind of strong word...!
"For me, eh? Trying to catch my eye? Consider them caught hook, line & sinker, sweetheart."
He played suave for the sake of not making himself look like an idiot for the fourth time tonight. Jake's eyes stayed fixated on the road, trying his damndest to avoid any other confrontations with other cars.
"And just so you know, I bought the flowers because a lady like you deserves a present once and a while. Besides, that's date protocol. Watch a movie here and there, woman!"
no subject
Roxy did NOT mean for that to come off the way it did, but the way her voice hummed along added insult to injury. It was sultry.
There was an admiration in her eyes as she looked to him, shaking her head a bit.
"I'll remember to mount it next to the battery-using singing big mouth bass. Just gotta wait a billion years for it to be invented."
She let out a laugh before watching his mannerisms. With a soft sigh, the girl couldn't help but speak again, eyeing him as he focused on the road. Good!
"Don't be nervous, 'kay? I'm just your best galpal, Ro'lal. This is our ship to the stars, so take me to the moon. Or some shit."
A giggle followed, her eyes looking back to the roadway. It seemed the two of them were passing off flirts back and forth. As much as she felt as if she was betraying Janey and Dirk, she couldn't help it? Something was urging her to be more ncie than usual and let her walls down around him.. His comment about the flowers made her look away, chewing on her bottom lip.
"Huh? What, no way. I got enough flowers in the backyard. I really appreciate it, but you didn't have to."
woah, wait, date? Like, forreals? She shut up.
"Well, if you drive a little faster Grandpa, we'd be at the movies already!"
Gosh.

"You have a brilliant mind. Put that damn thing to use and make it yourself. Would you be kind enough to craft two of them, actually? I'd LOVE to have a friggin' fish serenade me in the morning!"
Now he was going wild, but that was Jake English for you. As his hands turned the steering wheel for them to take the next right, his eyes glanced to the corner to see those curly, dirty blonde locks of hair. What a pretty gal.
"Nervous? Now what in the hell would give you the impression that I am nervous? That pretty dress of yours is going to have to do more than make me break a sweat to get fidgety on you. I welcome you to try and take a swing."
His tongue clicked the walls of his inner cheek, trying his best to drive smoothly to show off his 1337 haxxor skillz at vehicles. Instead, he'd pick up on that grandpa comment and sudden had pangs of familiarity with taxidermy.
"Is that a challenge?"
All she would hear is the screech of tires meeting pavement as his foot hit the gas rather hard. If cops existed in this weird city, they'd hopefully not be around because he was putting the pedal to the metal.
"Nowwww we are talking. Look at this thing go!! This baby is wilder than any buck I've caught gallivanting in the jungle."
Vroom vroom.
no subject
"Really? Dork alert, over here. A singing fish is just as bad as a red furry begging for kinky tickles. Gross!"
She pushed against his shoulder, nudging him softly in an attempt to get a rise out of him and let him know her frustrations on his corny love for singing bass.
There he was doing that damn tongue clickey thing! It was illegal and Roxy was hoping they didn't get pulled over for his flirty moves. Jeesh. She eyerolled, laughing.
"I'll remember that. When you least expect it... in the dead of night...BAM!" Roxy was a bit louder, no not a good idea to someone driving, "Gonna make you all fidgety."
It was as if she took it as her personal goal. And Jake took it his personal goal to almost cause Roxy to break the damn seatbelt. She was slammed forward a bit, using the dashboard to steady herself as the speed sudden increased.
"Jesus Christ, English! I didn't expect you'd actually do that, go go!"
Her laughs were obvious and pure as she acted like any normal teen would: loving danger with a good ol pal. Yet, Jake was use to being a ruffian of sorts. Even if Roxy had her fair share of badassary, nothing compared to the speed Jake was giving the darn vehicle.
no subject
"Oh wow, you are actually coercing me into doing more? You're a naughty little minx, aren't you?"
His own laughter flooded the car and he would finally slow down to the dismay of the both of them and happiness of the bystanders. They were pulling into the theater by now and that was his only reason he wasn't burning rubber. No fun in wrecking into the cars he'd be sitting next to while the movie played.
He opened up his wallet and gave a 20 dollar bill so the duo were allowed in. Hell yes he was paying for the tickets; no way he'd let Roxy do that.
"Annnnd we're here. Ready to be enveloped in the world of B-grade cinema? I'll be sure to give the finest commentary possible until you decide I'm annoying the ever living shit out of you and pap me several dozen times."
Jake would sputter his lips and park in an open spot, taking the car off of drive so they could enjoy the radio and air conditioning.
"Is this that moment when we start playing patty cake or making out? I'm afraid that date protocol nonsense I pulled straight out of my bum is something I'm not too knowledgeable in."
no subject
She snaps her attention to Jake fairly easy when he says she's a naughty minx. The next line rolls out like nothing:
"Oh, you haven't seen anything yet.."
Giggle and all rolled off her lips as she moved her hand to brush against his bicep. Yet, once she caught onto what was going on she leaned back to press her back into the cushion.
The next few minutes Roxy was trying to fix her make up in the mirror, all while Jake took care of business.
"Maaaaaaaaybe I'll give you a punch not a pap. Fisticuffs and all that," Roxy says with a smug grin, but it's lost within moments as he parks and mentions... well, making out.
Her jaw drops a little low and she looks back then looks to him.
"Uh- .. do you like wanna make out or something?"
She didn't know what to think. Was he grooving on her? No, she couldn't do that! Her friends... ugh. Her heart was telling her no but HER BODYYYYYYY. HER BODY WAS TELLING HER YE-EAHHHHh. And also the Father's Day boy-loving her brain was overwhelmed with.
no subject
"Aw, you'd do something as rough as that? Beat up your ole pal? I have no qualms against givin' you a good tap or two if you want to go a round."
Okay, even the mun didn't have an idea on how bad that sounded, but whatevs, right. He wiggles around in his seat as he got comfortable, unclasping the seatbelt tugging around his hips and reaching over to do the same as her. Jake felt that it was right to return the favor, even if that meant his nose was barely brushing against the tops of her breasts.
Oops.
"W-wait a doggone minute, I wasn't implying we should! I mean,.. unless you *want* to make out."
Now they were just moving in circles. He instantly reared back and fixated the collar of his shirt anxiously, looking at her with a nervous smile of sorts. The movie hadn't even started yet! While he had no idea of her conflictions, he just knew she had some.. nice lips.. kissable lips. All that practice on posters could come in use if he just leaned in an--
No!! His fist punched the center of the wheel and the car honked in response, making him jump as he hadn't even done that in real life before.
"Holy shit! I just got the bejeezus scared out of me. Real life doesn't take kindly to a boy who lived on an island for so many years. I feel like Tom Hanks in Castaway but reverse or something."
no subject
Oh, he was leaning close... Was he going to kiss her? Her eyes shut just in case...
but no, nose to her boobs.
Her eyes snapped open and she glared a bit towards him.
"What? But you just said...!" Roxy said a bit confused. God, it was making her head hurt. She looked away embarrassed as she scooted away.
"Stop giving mixed signals, English. You're kinda ticking me off."
Roxy said bluntly, her nerves shot from all of the loneliness and angst she was putting herself into. Roxy was really bothered and it wasn't until the horn scared the shit out of her, making her jump.
"Fuck! Jake, really?! Ugh, can I just go home..." She mumbled, slumping in her side of the car.
Girls sure were emotional and hard to read.
no subject
"Hey, uh, I'm sorry if I'm being a sticker in your knickers right now. This whole dating thing has got me on the edge of my seat -- literally, you see? look at my butt, it's about to fall off the damn thing -- and I'm just trying to make sure you're.. you know, okay."
They had a rough week, after all. But there she was, slumping in the seat and making a sigh leave his mouth. He felt like a real dick now, so he had to make it up to her.
"L-look, consider this a thank you present for taking those crummy flowers and letting me bring you out."
And he would lean in again, this time not to put his face in her damn tits. He'd place his lips on her left cheekbone, a gentle peck finding its place there before another followed south and south again until kissing at the corner of her lips. Jake was only intending on going in for one but found himself lingering for another two or three, but once he felt lip-on-lip contact, he had a jolt of reality and shot back into his seat.
"Oh, would you.. would you look at that. The, heheh, that uh, that movie thing we're here for. Y-yeah, it's rolling. Great. Just.. great."
Don't mind his hand as he covers his crotch. Juuust in case.

Not even a rough week. Roxy had a rough god damn life and maybe she was feeling a bit particularly emo at the moment. Extreme sobriety was making her on edge and easily irritable, not to mention: well, all the dramaz, y'know.
Jake was forward once again, but on his own accord this time. No way was this happening. He'd feel her hot breath against his lips, tingling the flesh and adding a bit of liveliness. It was all a soft gasp, but she couldn't. The bottom of her palm found itself at his collarbone, pushing him away as he hung on for a few seconds. It was the same as him sitting back so she simply crossed her arms.
"Don't."
Roxy said bluntly, crossing her leg and letting the bottom of her heel click against the side of the door.
"Just, don't fucking tease me like this. The flowers weren't crummy and I don't regret coming out on the date with you. But.. don't sit here and be some stupid fucking forbidden fruit that I can't take a bite out of."
Her hands moved to rub at her face, smearing a bit of her eyeshadow as she just... sulked for a moment.
"I'm just lonely. I don't like it here anymore. I feel fucking trapped and... I'm in a fuckin' corner whenever I try to take a step forward. I'm being a downer and I know it. Toooootal downer. I'm sorry."
Her voice changed from mad, her mind twisting to be more apologetic then angry at the trapped situation she found herself in.
no subject
Well, not really, but it did hurt a little more than he ever expected it to.
"Did you just equate me to a fruit, Rox'? I know I'm not the best kisser, but come on. Don't kill a man's pride when we're supposed to be on a date together."
Jake can do his own huffing and puffing, and he did just that. His arms folded underneath one another as he went from looking at her to idly staring at the black-and-white on screen, not aware that he missed the forbidden fruit aspect of her sentiment.
"This place is a.. little rough around the edges, yeah! Especially what with the mind-boggling, reality-shaking, crazy shenanigans that come out of nowhere and bite you in the ass. But still, it gave us a chance to see each other, you know?"
He'd take a deep breath and then looked back to her with his cheeks a little flushed. There was no way for even him to tell if he was angry, disheartened or worried for her. Maybe it was a trail mix of all three, who knows.
"Just.. just come on. It's ME, your sexy amazonian but not really. We're all technically trapped, so maybe we can just be.. trapped together? I don't know, I'm no good with this. I'll shuddap now."
A brief wave of his hand dismissed himself and his shitty advice. He really wasn't that great at this whole thing. His back pressed into the seat more and he was now slumping, watching the movie move past is initial opening.
no subject
"What the fuck? It's not that, stupid," Roxy snapped back. It was actually.. ugh it hurt her to feel his warm soft lips against her skin.
It was something any teenage girl would dream of. Even girls raised in a post-apocalyptic universe.
Roxy narrowed her eyes a bit, but softened when he started to talk about the place and seeing each other. As he moved along and softened up, her eyes trembled as he mentioned some sweet optimistic line: being 'trapped together'. Which, in all honesty, what they were.
There was a dead silence between them. She sighed, holding back a swelling in her tears, one that she most definitely didn't want to let go in front of him.
Her mascara was expensive, y'know.
So instead, she slowly moved her hand to cup at his cheek. Her form slid closer towards him, slowly as if she was being yanked back by her own guilt.
"You're a nice guy, Jakey. Really. Totes brave and nice and, I don't know, normal? You've never been mean to me, ever and that's ... ugh.. I like that..."
Roxy said as she leaned closer, her lips hovering over his.
"Don't be hard on yourself, really... I can't do this, though. WE can't do this.. "
Dirk.
Jane.
Her thoughts were clouded and seemed misaligned. Her lips pressed to his, a full on kiss that was most definitely sloppy considering she never kissed anyone before, EVAR.
Her thumb rubbed at his cheek, her fingertips pressing against the legs of his glasses as she felt guilt wash over her, but she just didn't pull herself away.
no subject
But things always had a way of getting out of hand.
"If you like it, then what's the friggin' problem!? I'm nice to you because you are a sweet girl who deserves being nice to. That logic is as simple as it gets, you know."
He was still a little defensive, not entirely sure what was going on in that head of hers. Roxy never really.. expressed herself and her insecurities and problems, so Jake was in the dark when it came to that. No, he was just a confused lad who wasn't able to figure out what she was trying to lead to.
And then she was leaning closer, lips getting dangerously near his. Was she trying to pull a fast one on him? Well, it wasn't THAT fast, and Jake felt like the world was slowing down around him. As the tiny Asian people screamed on the cinema screen because Godzilla was wreaking havoc, he almost wanted to scream when she kissed him.
His hands instantly shot up in the air as a defensive mechanism, eyes bulging and the hairs on his arm standing up in surprise. This was his first, full-on, super serious business kiss. It would have been impossible for a moan not to slip out of his mouth and into hers, so she would get that as a "gift" of sorts before he kissed back.
Yeah, he damn well better kiss back. He may be stupid at times but he knew Roxy wouldn't be able to handle that kind of rejection even if he wanted to reject her. But he wanted this alright. Hell. Fucking. Yes.
She rubbed his cheek and he instinctively wrapped his arm around her hip, pulling her in closer until Jake manually inserted her onto his lap. Not the best position for him considering the circumstances, but it beat having to turn his neck towards her. Once she was straddling him, he lightly traced his fingers along the curves of her hips before resting short of her backside. Another moan or two of content would come from his end as he was trying to get used to the kiss. His eyes finally closed and he just let the situation handle it on its own.

Her skin tingled as his masculine hands found their waves against the curves bound inside of that polka dotted fabric. Each dangerous angle accented the confident body language she usually portrayed; but tonight, it got her into a bit more trouble than usual.
With a swift movement, her eyes shot open as he pulled her onto his lap. The feeling, no -- the fucking reality of being mounted onto Jake fucking English's lap was a bit much for her. Even if her lips merely slowed down from their sloppy embrace against the adventurer, she trembled in his arms as his hands explored her hips and back.
It wasn't until she finally clicked what was going on that she pulled her mouth away from his with a needy gasp for air. A bit of spit trickled from her pouty lips as she looked away blushing and with a soft: "We can't..."
Roxy panted heavily, her forehead pressing against his even if she kept her gaze focused elsewhere. Her hands were resting against his chest, where a certain green skull would normally be embossed but not today. It was all nice. The car was nice. The flowers were lovely. And so was he. God, she just felt so.. conflicted.
"I'm a bad girl, Jake, really, just don't waste your time..." She mumbled, her usual confidence slipping away as she still recalled the taste of his mouth on her tongue.
"I don't want to..." She gasped against him, still shaking from how good his hands felt against her.. Physical contact was sure weird, "I don't want to hurt you, or anyone really, fuck."
Jesus, leet haxxor bitch was certainly trying to keep her cool in the hot situation, especially when so many factors tried to keep her from enjoying her first fucking kiss.
no subject
After all, one doesn't just
walk into Mordor*kiss* posters without an idea on how it worked. His mind had to keep off the fact that Roxy was very.. alluring with her moans and curves and everything else he couldn't put his finger on for the sake of the dreaded boner magic. Boner magic was terrifying to Jake and he knew that he was as vulnerable to it as Superman was to Kryptonite, so he had to mind himself or else Lalonde would get a very pointy surprise.
As she pulled away and made mention of why they couldn't do this, his own cheeks burned and he felt like he did something wrong.
"Wait, wha? I.. I thought we were having a ripping good time! Did my breath stink? I knew I shouldn't have eaten that sandwich before I saw you!!"
When she pressed her forehead against his, he shifted around in the seat and held her still with his hands on her hips. "Hey, bad girls are kind of hot, if I may say. I can be a bad boy, if that would make you feel better?"
He had no idea what was going on and just wanted to make sure she was okay. His fingertips traced the dip of her back and his spare hand went up to scratch at her cheek, hoping to snap her out of her guilty phase.
"Will you just shut your trap and move with the flow? Think of this as an adventure. An... adventure full of sloppy makeouts."
no subject
Her skin prickled with a clammy sweat that made her forearms prepare for chilling goosebumps. The moment felt completely surreal and out of body, like Roxy #1 was outside of the car watching at the "whoreor" inside.
It wasn't until he tried to blame himself and she widened her eyes, shaking her head to make the curls she spent so much time tightening loosen a bit with her frantic movement. Damn beauty, you hard.
"Don't be a dumbass, it's -- it's not you, alright? Totes the like exact opposite," Roxy admitted, knowing she was making things a billion times more complicated than need be.
He was moving a bit and her body attempted to squirm on his lap. She was growing uncomfortable. She was beginning to just... want to go home. Regretting this already. Her breath, as heavy as it still was, seemed obvious sign of how conflicted she was!
"Ugh, Jakey." Roxy mumbled, a bit bothered that the sloppy makeouts were just, well, what? What were they? How would they even fucking lead to anything? What did it really mean?
When he mentioned being a bad boy, she snorted laughing. It was sudden and she just couldn't see the kid being a bad boy. She'd state it too.
"No bad boy brings their friend flowers," Rox stated matter of factly. She nodded too to emphasize but she just chewed her bottom lip.
Even as he touched her and rubbed at her face, Roxy whimpered out a bit, her lips trailing dangerously close to his once more. She looked down to him, honest and only two words slipped past her lips as their set touched faintly.
"Jane... Dirk..."
It was obvious how much Roxy just needed someone to show interest in her. From all her impromptu passes at her friends leading her no where, she just felt so unwanted at some points, even if she wanted her friends happiness so badly. THAT is why she felt like shit as she dug her nails into his finely tailored shirt, scratching at his chest as her half lidded sultry stare said all of her desires.
As her dress rode up her bare thighs she faintly kissed him again, whimpering out into the needy embrace before pulling back again.
"Why are we doing this?" Roxy questioned with a heavy sigh, more so needy than annoyed, "This isn't fair..."

"No bad girl worries about their friends so much."
He bit down on his lip as she mentioned the names of others, and it was starting to make sense. If there was one thing he was good at, it was thinking of the possibilities of relationships. Who'd have thought that Roxy would be the one that popped up and took the prize? Now he was beginning to realize that guilt was being a potential roadblock for her, and with a deep breath, he sat back while his forehead buried deeper against hers.
"Shhh, shh. I don't know what's going in that ridiculously complex mind of yours and I also don't know if I ever will, but you have to put yourself first every once in a while. You.. well, you deserve it, quite frankly.."
Their lips grazed against each other and he parted out a heavy sigh. Jake couldn't believe this was happening just as much as hers, but he didn't want to be the one to stop it. Still, he had to make sure she was okay.
"H-hey, I don't want you begrudgingly trekking through these oral trenches. If this is as bad as you're making it out to be, we can stop. As much.. as much as I think I want this -- you taste really good, by the way -- I don't want to put a.. hindrance in what we have."
He was just being reasonable. While Jake was a jumpy mess that was ready to shove his tongue down her throat (he's an eager beaver), he also respected the fact that she was having a tough time. The boy just wanted to make sure she was okay, and that mattered more than any tongue-twisting they would do.
Even if he really, really wanted to twist tongues with her.

The way the situation remained heated made her a bit uncomfortable. It wasn't suppose to be this way. Sure, Dirk having his little feels for the boy was making this difficult, but her loyalty to Jane made things work differently. She would love to kiss him. She'd love to feel needed and special. She'd love to give him some satisfaction of a great kiss and warm touches. Yet, she was so hesitant.
The way he spoke to her made her sigh heavily. She kept her gaze away from him for a few more moments until he went on about how she needed to worry about herself. Jake WAS a person and not a property to be claimed, but, it just felt wrong.
Roxy pulled her forehead away from his and looked down to him. He was dorky in the way he said they could stop and she flashed an appreciative smile. Her face moved slowly towards his, pressing her lips against his cheek, whispering into his ear with the softest of voices.
"Trust me, if I could slam my tongue down your throat and kiss you until my lips were sore, I would. Let's just... play it cool for now. Until we both know what this is."
'This' as in what they were feeling or just wanting. She didn't want to reach out to Jake merely because he was the only one who gave her the flirts she wanted so badly.
"You're a good guy and I don't want to mess up." Roxy admitted, slowly pulling her leg over his lap and flopping back into her side of the car. She just sat there, silent in the distant sound of screams and roars from the movie filling the void.
"I'd like to go home. I'd really like to try this again, but, please. Don't think it's you."

"Y-yeah, if that's what you wish, I won't hold you against your will on my lap."
He had to admit it was mildly displeasing to see her unmounting herself. Jake was JUST getting used to it, too! The movie was so unimportant to him at this point and his eyes just peered out towards her as she got comfortable again. She wanted to go home, now, and the visible frown on his face showed he was a little sad to see how this date had turned.
"Okay. Okay, sure. Anything for you, Roxy."
There was no sarcasm in his voice. Just the slight clearing of his throat as he put the car back into reverse and got them out of the theater. He remained quiet the entire drive, eyes focused on the road instead of the sexy girl to his side that he was just having the urges to suck on her tongue.
Ugh!
All he did was let a hand pull away from the wheel while the other kept a firm grip on it. He'd bring it across the car to blindly find hers, trying his bestest not to cop a feel along the way on accident. His fingers laced with hers and he gave her a tender squeeze, hoping that she wasn't as bummed as he thought.

The silence remained as he got ready to leave and left the movie theatre early -- much to the honking of some watchers getting their view obstructed. The car ride was bumpy and she simply propped her face up on the car door, watching as the dim street lights passed by one by one.
It wasn't until she felt a flop or two of movement against her fingers, realizing that Jake had reached for her hand. As he laced his fingers, she didn't pull away, her eyes simply shifted down at his hand up towards him. Just merely a faint smile on her face between the disappointed look in general that radiated from her features.
"I'm sorry," Roxy whispered, knowing she truly was.
She gave him an honest glare, even if he was focusing on the road. Her eyes had a bit more trouble as the light from oncoming cars in the opposite lane glared by, one by one. There was silence for a few minutes, only Roxy looking away and squeezing at his hand. She began to slip her hand away within a second and glance back at him, all while another bright light lit up the front seat.
"Things will -- "

Good girl. Best friend.
"Don't apologize, love. You did nothing wrong."
She'd get another squeeze of his hand and he barely looked to the side to stare at her when she pulled away. It was just enough time for his attention to be taken off of the road, causing a disastrous result as the driver of the car in the other lane steering into theirs. This was why Roxy was kept away from the booze, or else she'd be driving like people here.
The rest was a faze as car and car met each other in a rather terrible embrace. Not like the embrace between Jake and Roxy's mouth, no no no. Fuck now. It was more like their bodies being rocked forward, skulls cracking against the dashboard, and in Jake's case, the steering wheel. Besides the jolt of pain and dizziness that comes with driving in a car that doesn't have an airbag, he can feel something smooth and liquid-y dripping down his face.
Upon glancing to the side once he regained some semblance of clarity, he noticed that Roxy had been put through the ringer as well. Jesus fucking Christ, no wonder people hated driving. His heart was pounding at this rate and he had to make sure she was okay. Jake tried his best to raise a shaky ear against her lips to hear some sort of breathing. To his luck, she was alive. He didn't know what he would do with himself if she died because of his mix ups.
Anyway, he needed to move fast. He's seen enough movies to know that the cops and ambulance would be coming soon. It seemed like the driver that hit him somehow high-tailed it, but he wasn't worried about them. Jake was positive he was going to get into trouble but he would not allow Roxy to share his fate. As he opened up the door to his car, he yelped with pain when realizing that the son of a bitch was dislocated. Whatever, he couldn't worry about that right now.
He got out and walked as fast as humanly possible for someone injured to the other side. It took him a few good minutes just to get her out of the car with one arm, but he somehow taps into that strength of his to carry her with it. That backside of hers added more weight than he thought and he groaned. "Dammit, Rox, why do you have to have such a big rump.." Spotting a bush, he limped over to it and gently sat her down. The sirens were approaching and he knew he needed to get her out of sight.
"Just lay here. Everything's going to be fine."
And with that, he'd kiss her on her slightly-swollen lips just once before standing up and going to the car. The police pulled in followed by the ambulance and he was gently tugged over to the vehicle so he could be taken to the hospital. Who knew what was going to happen to him after.
