What: Hajime takes advantage of the town's Father's Day gift.

When: Father's Day, after Hajime has gotten away from Floyd
Warnings: Well, Kreutzer has to be nice to him so the usual "the house might explode" warnings don't apply...

[Thanks to Floyd's exuberance earlier in the day, Hajime knows it's Father's Day. He remembers Mother's Day all too well (as much as he'd rather forget it), and now that he's fulfilled his not!Dad obligations to Floyd, he'd like to speak with Kreutzer. The possibility that she'll be not quite herself is there, and he's horribly curious. So he'll just be quietly walking through the house, searching for her.]

(Oh, it won't be hard finding her at all. She's in the kitchen with a few of her helper dolls, cooking up a nice, hearty breakfast for Hajime. And she's got his favorite coffee done, too. And it's not terrible; she's improved her coffee skills just for the sake of being able to make it for Hajime! Isn't she just sweet? She and the dolls are happily going about their business and haven't noticed him just yet, so feel free to do whatever!)

[Okay, she's...making coffee. That's pretty unusual; he's the only one in the house who drinks the stuff. Even then, he hasn't been drinking or eating all that much since becoming a full Undead again...and there is no way that entire breakfast is for her. There's just too much food.

Well, only one way to find out what's going on here. Get her attention.]

Kreutzer?

[Because full breakfast? THIS IS A TRAP.]

(Oh Hajime, what happened to that "it's Father's Day, so she'll be nice to me" confidence? That's all that's really going on here. Honest!

And just to emphasize that, Kreutzer turns to face him and offers a smile. Internally, she doesn't want to, but it's a little out of her control at this point.)

Ah, Hajime! I hope you enjoyed your rest last night; the warmer weather is making that difficult, but we can fix that if needed. Hungry?

(Better be, because those dolls are setting a spot on the table just for you. Isn't that nice of them?)

[Having an idea that this might happen is one thing, actually seeing it in action is another. He's still a little weirded out.]

I slept...well.

[And actually, he's not hungry, but he's not going to be rude...he figures watching him enjoy this would probably irritate Kreutzer more in the long run. He's just going to sit down at that table and see what happens.]

Somewhat hungry, yes.

[But how to test this? She'd called him Joker and not gotten the usual response; he didn't have anything similar to go off of here. He'll just try a casual question, said with the same tone he might use to ask about something horribly mundane, like the weather. She'd done the same thing to him, not that he could blame her.]

You haven't been droned, have you?

(Because now Hajime is getting a good ol' breakfast to go with the inevitable round of questions that will come from this. At the question, Kreutzer just shakes her head. What could possibly make him think that?)

Of course not. If I were droned, I wouldn't be able to command my dolls.

(Silly Hajime; this should be common knowledge!)

[Ah, good. Good. Father's Day really WAS just like Mother's Day in reverse! Hajime is pleased as he starts in on that breakfast. He knows she'll remember all of this. He doesn't look that smug that often, does he?]

Then tell me, Kreutzer, exactly what do you think of me? Tell the truth, now.

[You did the same thing to him, and he's curious. It'll be a good opener before he gets down to business. There are certain things from Mother's Day that need to be undone, after all...]

(Nope; that's usually Kreutzer's job. She'll remember this, Hajime...but until then, all she's allowed to do is smile kindly as she answers.)

I think despite everything I've intentionally put you through, you probably pass for a better human being than I can. We share a surprising number of similarities and we would very likely be friends if things didn't happen as they did.

Having said that, you're far too easy to manipulate and your understanding of human etiquette could always use more work as well as your competence around the house since I have to do everything or risk you setting it all ablaze...but we can't have that, now can we? Not when Apple Bloom and young Floyd are here in the house.

[Interesting. VERY interesting...he's not quite sure what to make of the first half of what she said, so he'll just cover with a sip of coffee.

The second half, however, was about as expected. He scowls a bit when she says he's easy to manipulate, and he does have to wonder if she's picked up on the fact that he'll intentionally at times use poor manners around her, just to drive home the warning that he is strange and inhuman.]

Floyd and Apple Bloom do make it difficult...

[Pause.]

That vacuum would have caught fire no matter who was using it. Me, you, one of your dolls...it was clearly defective.

[He TRIED helping out with the household chores, really!]

(She's pretty aware of it, yes; it's just something that's been bothering her terribly since GOD, YOU ARE USELESS)

Well if you say it was defective, then it probably was. It wouldn't be the first thing wrong with Mayfield.

(Oh, how she wanted to call you out on how you probably did that on purpose as well, but she couldn't. Strange how she didn't, isn't it?)

Well that's far too minor an issue to worry about; the greater one at hand is ensuring you enjoy yourself on a fine day like this one.

Oh, I plan on enjoying myself very much today.

[Pause.]

Just like you did on Mother's Day.

[Why, yes, he IS trying to troll you, Kreutzer!]

In fact, whatever became of that watch you constructed after you took advantage of me that day?

[Sounds so innocent as he asks that, too.]

(Oh...oh, it's going to be like that, then?

Fine, you win this time. Not like she can really do anything to resist anyway; she's already taking the watch out of her pocket.)

I still keep it with me. It's a lovely watch; I haven't had the need to use the transformation features yet, but it's certainly nice to keep around.

(Somewhere in her mind, she's fully aware of what you're doing. Damn Mayfield, keeping her from fighting back...)

[It is most definitely going to be like that, Kreutzer. Just be glad he's not the sort to stick random electrodes all over you out in the garage like SOME PEOPLE.]

I'd like to take a look at it, if you don't mind.

[He's now holding his hand out expectantly. It's not bad enough that he's probably going to destroy it, now he wants you to hand it over to him to do so...while smirking in a way you've probably not seen much, if ever, before.]

(It was for science, OKAY?!)

Oh no, not at all! Please; go right ahead.

(...you son of a bitch. She'd never hand it over so willingly in any other situation. Unfortunately for Kreutzer, her desires to glare and shoot at him are overpowered by the kind smile she's been giving him this entire time.)

[IT'S NEVER OKAY.

He reaches out and takes the watch, and...

...that's not good. He can feel whatever energies Kreutzer has put into this thing, and it's making his inner Joker sit up and take notice. He drops the watch on the table like he's been burned, although his facial expression doesn't change. So much for fiddling around with it to see how it worked.]

How clumsy of me.

[He stares contemplatively at the watch for a moment as he wills his Joker side quiet once more. It does tend to flare up when presented with power too similar to Joker's own...and she modeled that watch on that power.]

I hate to say this, but...

[Lies. He's loving this.]

...I need you to have one of your dolls blow that up for me.

(Eye...twitch. But it's only ever so slight. With a wave of her hand, Kreutzer calls in Assam to...to blow up the watch with a missile. Something in Kreutzer died a little watching this happen, but of course she couldn't do anything in response; Mayfield wouldn't allow that.

Assam, as well as Kreutzer's other dolls, weren't under the town's affects. Assam just offers him a cold glare before flying out of the room. She's on to you...)

There we are; all taken care of.

[Now you know how it feels, don't you, Kreutzer? He feels quite a lot better after what happened on Mother's Day. He meets the doll's glare with a steady, innocent-lookng gaze.]

Why, thank you.

[He gets up from the table now.]

I believe we're about even after what happened on Mother's Day, wouldn't you say?

[...he's probably just used up whatever goodwill came between them after that talk they had after he killed her, hasn't he?]

(Well let's look over the facts: months of trolling and mother's day vs. kicking her out of the house twice, sicking Pinkie on her and then brutally murdering her during the AU event? All followed up by a conversation of not hating him, but confessing jealousy? Things were pretty much in Hajime's favor...

...but boy, is he back in the negatives now. Sure this was Mother's Day coming back to get her, but it's not like she bothered Hajime again with it! She was perfectly fine sticking to the pony form...dammit, she really liked that watch! It was so beautiful...)

[She hadn't bothered him with it again YET. That's the keyword here; he was merely protecting himself against future trouble. The fact that just touching it made Joker flare up was more than enough reason for him to decide to destroy it.]

Well, in that case...

[He stands up from the table.]

I'll be heading out, then.

[Because he isn't sure he should be hanging around in the house with the dolls glaring at him like that. After killing Kreutzer that first time, he's not too concerned about them, but still. Floyd and Apple Bloom are in the house and he'd rather there be no collateral damage.]
