Caroline and Cade Go On a Picnic
Who: Cade Masters and Caroline Martinez
What: Preparing for and going on a picnic
Where: 1664 Nelson and John Doe Park
When: June 7th, late morning.
Warnings: Cade Masters!
[Cade was rather excited when Caroline agreed to go on a picnic with him, but he tries to play it cool. He's purchased a bag full of different goodies to prepare their lunch with, as well as a quaint wood picnic basket and a red-and-white-checkered flannel blanket.
He pulls his car in front (managing to stay off the sidewalk this time) and waltzes up to the door with his hands full of stuff. He barely manages to ring the door bell while still holding on to it all.]

He rings the bell and she answers the door dressed casually in a long skirt and short sleeve blouse.]
Hey, Cade. You brought enough to feed an army! Come in before you drop something.

[Cade walks awkwardly in, trying not to drop everything and look where he's going.]

Let's get this in the kitchen. I don't think we'll need all of this for lunch, we'll just have to send some back home with you.

[Cade follows her into the kitchen and sets the bags down on the counter.]
"So, what did you want to make? I got bread and tortillas and beef and chicken and sliced turkey and lettuce and tomato and avocado and carrots and apples and oranges and carrots and bacon and..."

[She starts poking through the bags.]
Sandwiches are always good picnic food, since they don't have to stay hot or cold.

They are actually kind of a new thing on my world. I'm surprised it took so long for someone to think up putting some meat between two slices of bread..."

[She nabs the avacados to start getting them peeled and sliced up.]
no subject
"So what kind of stuff do you like on your sandwiches?"
no subject
Not all on the same sandwich. That would be gross. [She tosses the pit from the avocado in the garbage and starts turning it into neat slices.]
no subject
"I like pheasant, but it seems that they don't have any in Mayfield for some reason."
no subject
[She adds the avocados to their growing pile of sandwich fixings, then turns to rummage around in the bags.]

[Washes some apples.]

[Better with some whip cream, though ...]
