STRIFE: PASTRYKIND
Who: Dad, Mom, and anyone else who's looking for a safehouse
What: Dad has taken it upon himself to fortify the bakery until the event is over
Where: Achewood Bakery
When: February 5th until event end
Warning: I guess potential violence if anyone tries to attack them there. Action tags to keep things rolling. No post order. Threadjacking welcome and encouraged. Let's do some mingling.
When he heard the phone call, Dad's protective instinct immediately kicked in and he headed off to the bakery with Mom to make preparations. He wasn't able to locate Rose, but hopefully she would see the note he left for her on the kitchen counter at home. Once at the bakery, Dad immediately sets to work, de-captchaloguing dozens upon dozens of previously baked pies and setting up a sort of defensive barrier surrounding the front entrance. While he's working, he gets to work on baking as many more pies and cakes as the bakery's facilities can handle, and sets these and whatever was left over from building the defenses aside for later use in attacking. There are also numerous cans of shaving cream nearby just in case he needs to pull out the big guns. Dad will be letting anyone in who can demonstrate that they are unarmed and unwilling to attack the bakery itself or anyone inside. Nonviolent passersby will be ignored, and anyone attempting to break in forcefully, attack the people inside, or bring down the building will find themselves violently buffeted with various baked goods and shaving cream from a family man who is clearly in no mood to to take any of the town's shit anymore.

They're completely safe, if that's what you're worried about.
