If you're passing by Mitchell Road today, you can probably smell the distinctive aroma of someone grilling meat. There's a big sign on the door of 1445 that says "Come Around Back!! :D" where you'll find America standing beside the grill, wearing a tacky novelty apron and cooking up burgers, hot dogs, and corn on the cob while humming "The Stars and Stripes Forever." Feel free to join in! Especially if you've brought food.

And along comes Virginia, a fresh pan of her signature Boot Hill Jalapeno Corn Bread™.

"Boy, you sure can cook up a storm. I guess you're about the sum average of all the cooking talent of your people, right?" Someone had tried to explain it to her before, at least...

"Something like that, yeah. You want a burger or a dog?"

"How about both?" Someone was hungry...

"Now there's a girl after my own heart."

"Uncle Tesla always said I'd eat someone out of house and home, one of these days." Virginia laughed, setting the cornbread down on the serving table.

"If nothing else, they can't take barbeques away in this town."

Patrick poked his head around the corner of the gate, and his drone children slowly followed his example. Patrick beamed down at them - as his drone wife sighed from behind him - and Patrick amended himself.

"Sorry Snugglebear - hello back there! The Janes have brought Jello and empty stomachs! Would this be where the appropriately themed BBQ is?"

"This is it!" America grinned, gesturing them in with his spatula. "C'mon in! You can put the jello down on that table over there!"

"Thank you, thank you, right over there, Snugglebear." He beamed at his fake wife, before shaking his finger at the two kids. "Go play. Don't blow up anything, or hurt small animals."

He sauntered over to the man with the spatula, giving him a long, intent look, before nodding his head. "You're real. Excellent. You have any tea? I know I should be drinking a root beer or something, but I really do prefer tea."

"Real as real can be. And sure thing!" America shrugged his shoulder toward what he'd designated as the beverage table, which included a large glass pitcher of brown liquid, filled with ice and a couple of lemon slices. "You can help yourself. You want a burger or a hot dog?"

"Glad to see that. Mostly because I'd hate to eat plastic food." He smacked his lips in appreciation. "Iced tea - you are a God amongst men. Or women. Or plastic people. And burger."

She did bring some muffins! Because that's Rapunzel for you. She set them down sort of just in the middle of things and rushed over to America.

The young woman was incredibly excited to try one of these hamburgers, what could she say?

"Hello, America! How are you?"

"I'm just swell," America smiled, giving a little wave to Rapunzel as she approached before returning his attention to the grill. "Ready for the first burger of the rest of your life?"

"I definitely am!" Rapunzel said, as she focused on the grill, as well. "...Wow. That's cool."

"It's pretty swell. Top of the line. I've got one back home. This place really isn't too shabby sometimes, y'know?"

He starts flipping a few of the cooked burgers onto a plate beside the grill, before grabbing a paper plate for Rapunzel and sliding a bun and burger onto it. "I got all sorts of condiments too if you want 'em."

[ He might not have any food along - becasue he knows nothing of this Memorial Day - but he do have a very big bag of candy. Because he had to refill his stock, and just happened to pass by, becoming curious of what was going on. ]

[There's a distinctive whirring of a motor machine not far away from 1445 Mitchell, softening slightly as Hungary's bike comes to a gradual stop outside.]

You could smell the food all the way to Stone st...

[Austria releases his grip on Miss Elizaveta, his first motor bike ride was more fun than he thought it would be.]

Oh it's America's house! [He'd been here once before. They had bacon together.]

If I'm gonna have a cookout, I'm gonna do it right.
