PROM, PART 2

Because he can't stop himself from making a movie reference, the theme of this year's Prom is "Enchantment Under the Sea". (Don't get too freaked out, Marty McFly.) Equipment has been moved out, seating has been set near tables and walls, and a makeshift stage has been constructed to host the DJing equipment. Quinn has music up until 2010, so a large variety of music will get played. There's plenty of food and drinks - including spiked, and very-much-not-spiked punch (magically protected, thanks to Ilsa). In a corner is a small set up for people who wish to get their photos taken by Tsukasa.

The party is under way - have yourselves a good time, Mayfield!

[He was having a hard time with those small ponies... but they were easily ignored for now. He now had a new target, and it wasn't hard for him to keep an eye on her within the crowd.]

[He takes his bows and waves and lingers on the stage for a moment before hopping off, all smiles about his performance. Once Rin comes down as well, he'll congratulate her]

Alright, I'm convinced. You've got the star power - not bad at all!

[ Binning her emptied, plastic punch cup, Sir Hellsing glances up to see Mika's agitated push through the sea of bodies... and the figure tracking her easily like a blood hound. She goes to intercept the young woman, the clicking of her heels unheard beneath the music and her heart leaping into the back of her throat.

Anderson is here. Anderson is here. The last time she saw him, he had died with a smile on his face, falling to pieces like the drifting cotton off a dandelion. Integra's arms open to Mika, moving to enfold her swiftly. ]

Father Alexander Anderson. To what do I owe this honor?

[ Her tone is mild, level, self assured with practiced ease. It was going to get more complicated around here, apparently. ]

After Len's dance, of course

[Tachikoma has been doing its best to record all kinds of things since coming here to prom. This event of a King and Queen of Prom seemed rather important, so of course it's been moving here and there among the crowd to get a good look at the contestants and winners and everything involved. During Len's performance, it even moved in close and engaged its therm-optic camouflage so not only could it catch the dance up close, but not be in the way of any else watching.

But now the poor Carbon Rod isn't being given a chance to show its stuff, what with Len holding it like that! Tachikoma decides the best thing to do is to go ahead and pick up the rod and set it somewhere so it can show what it can do fair and square.

So while still camouflaged, it rolls up to the side of Len and snatches the rod from his hand, moving away so as to find a clear spot for it. To any normal onlooker, it seems the rod jumps out of his hand and is now hovering at about waist height.]

♪ Carbon rod... were you holding back?!

[ She returns the smirk with one of her own, nodding in agreement. ]

I say 'when do we start'? Yeah, we could meet up in a few days and compare notes, see what we have on this place so far, I think we're overdue for a meeting anyway. You're probably right though, anything discriminating is probably hidden behind some serious lock and key.

[ She glances up at him solemnly. ]

It's safe to say whoever is responsible wouldn't take the risk of blowing the lid on an operation of this magnitude by leaving anything in plain sight.

[Mika moves in quickly, the embrace almost casual if it weren't for the fact that she was shaking like a leaf in a gale wind. Terrified as she was, she was doing a halfway decent job of hiding it...for the most part, at least. Murmuring a heartfelt apology to Integra, her ears twitched and she ducked her head. She hadn't wanted to cause any problems tonight, really she hadn't.

It was hard not to cower behind Sir Hellsing when she knew she could be put down easily, but running and hiding were something only the guilty did, and she'd already failed at escaping once. She found herself staring at the floor, trying to look as unassuming as possible.]

That and several gods have graced the grounds here. For a while even Loki and Thor counted themselves among the captives here.

There may have been a Morgana, I am not certain. That being said I have not had tea with any of that trio.

No, but I have had to many times given the work I do.

[He had caught sight of this strange girl going to someone for shelter ... and he froze. He was told that Integra was around this town as well... bit he wasn't expecting to see her. He growled in a dangerous tone... but had thought better about the situation. ]

[Cade smirks.]

[ With Mika in her arms, she looks every bit the fearsome mother wolf. To her she murmurs, not dropping her gaze from Anderson: ] Go and ask my son Mart for a dance.

[ The leviathan boy will be able to look after her. Taking advantage of the priest's hesitation, Integra forges ahead. ]

I've taken you for a lot of things, Father, but not as a man who would run down an unarmed and injured young woman.

M-Mart? Okay.

[It seemed awkward, considering she was at least ten years older than he was if she remembered correctly, but she nodded, already trying to see if she could spot the boy through the crowds.

She glanced at Father Anderson before looking back at Integra, almost as if she was asking if she should go immediately.]
