Cade Welcomes Another New Face

[It is another typical afternoon at the malt shop when Cade arrives. The juke box is playing hits from the 50's, and a couple groups of teenagers can be seen about the place sharing a milk shake with two straws.

Cade arrives arm-in-arm with a lovely girl with A LOT of blonde hair. He opens the door for her and gestures inside.]

"After you, Rapunzel!"

Thank you, Ca-- Oh! [Rapunzel looks around in absolute awe, beaming.] This is so cute!

[Cade grins and leads her over to a chair.]

"I'm glad you approve!"

[He looks about.]

"Someone will ask us what we want soon. How hungry are you?"

[hairflyingheartpounding]

[She sits.]

I'm... Pretty hungry, actually.

"Good! I like a girl with an appetite!"

[Your waiter approaches.]

"Two chocolate shakes, two Double Double Doubles, and two servings of fries, please!"

[He turns back to you.]

"Trust me you'll love it...
So, tell me a bit more about you."

[hairflyingheartpounding]

About me? Well...

[Rapunzel shrugs, still smiling.]

I'm from a really different place then this...

[Cade smirks. He too is from a very different place.]

"Oh yes, many of us are...
I'm going to take a guess from your name, but I'm guessing you are from a time not too far from my own, with stone castles and knights and swords and such?"

[hairflyingheartpounding]

Well, those things are definitely in the books I've read! And there is a kingdom with a castle, yes.

"Ahh, I thought so! Its good to meet someone else from a move chivalrous age!

So, what kinds of things do you enjoy doing? You have a good ear for music, do you play any instruments?"

[hairflyingheartpounding]

I do! Guitar, mostly, but I also like to play the mandolin. And I do other things, too -- I paint and make candles and knit...

[adventurerextraordinaire]

"Oh! A girl of many talents! Anything else, do you like to dance?"

[hairflyingheartpounding]

A lot else! Mostly art things.. I love to dance! I do ballet!

[adventurerextraordinaire]

"Oh yes? Fantastic. I'm a big fan of the Tango, personally."

[hairflyingheartpounding]

The tango? What's that?

[adventurerextraordinaire]

[Cade grins flirtishly.]

"The Tango is a dance that is quite popular in Lajuria, which is a kingdom to the south. It is very... passionate and intense.
...It is difficult to describe properly without just showing you."

[hairflyingheartpounding]

Oh! That works!

[adventurerextraordinaire]

"What works? Oh, you want me to show you right now?"

[hairflyingheartpounding]

Why not?

"Well, we need the right kind of music..."

[Cade gets up and goes to look at the Juke Box, not expecting to find anything useful. To his surprise, there is a lot of stuff on there that shouldn't be in Mayfield. [Cade rushes back over and takes Rapunzel by the hand and pulls her into the close position (how Rapunzel feels about this is another matter...)]

[Well, it's just a dancing lesson as far as she's concerned. Still, her smile is a bit sheepish as she nods to him, indicating she's ready to go on.]

It's probably not the best choice to teach a beginner, so hopefully Rapunzel is a fast learner!]

[She's pretty quick with this sort of thing, but she still does a fair bit of stumbling.]

[Cade leans in to talk into her ear.]

"Are you alright? I think you are learning very quickly, but we can stop if this is too difficult."

No, I want to keep trying!

[adventurerextraordinaire]

[Cade grins, and picks up the pace.
He is greatly enjoying himself, and eventually he finds that he is secretly fighting the urge not to give pretty Rapunzel a kiss whenever their faces come within such close proximity. He distracts himself by talking to her instead.]

"Uh, you are doing really great..."
