Then a little conversation with my squirrel and chipmunk friends...
Who: Anyone who got the call earlier, or might happen to see the bonfire
What: Beltane Community Bonfire Circle
Where: Makeout Point
When: Monday, April 30, sundown to whenever
Warnings: There isn't anything planned, but if somebody decides to be traditional, we'll let you know
[ The bonfire is lit as the last of the sun disk slips below the horizon. The area has been cleared of negative energy, as well as she is able, but not warded against anything but attacks. There also is not anything keeping the light of the fire being seen, other than the usual trees. ]

He's making an effort. She'll humor him a little. She softens her expression.]
Frauleine would be "miss", yes? That's... somewhat accurate. I'm Natalie Waters.

Have you met the hostess, Ilsa? If not, I would be glad to introduce you. If so--allow me to act as her substitute for now. I can get you something to eat or drink.
[He's good at charming, and he means it. Further, he wants Ilsa's Beltane party to go well, which means doing all he can to help her guests feel comfortable. This guest looks a bit shy and wary. He understands that, though he had bashfulness drummed out of him forcefully at a young age. Mostly... In any case, the offers are both warm, and sincere--and very old-fashioned Euro-gracious.]

[Her smile gets thin but her voice gets more saccharine at the mention of Ilsa.] Oh, I've met Ilsa. She let me know what was what on my first day in town. She's so helpful, isn't she? [That's... not the most steady of laughs that she punctuates her speech with.] I've already eaten... I have some very specific dietary requirements, thank you...
[For an instant, she wonders just what his blood would taste like. Just... sink her fangs into his wrist, tear the flesh, let it flow, it would be wonderful, all hot and...
...alright. She wonders about it for more than a moment. And then looks away with some feigned bashfulness.]

She takes her responsibilities seriously. But if you can work with that, she's also a good friend and ally. Most people need at least a few of those, here in Mayfield.
So...if there's nothing I can do to help...do you want to join the group, or stay here?
I can bring you a blanket. I know we have spares...
[He's caught between caution and curiosity...]

She's very helpful and very earnest about it. Yes, no matter where you are, you want people on your side. Like it or not. [The slight tilt of her head as she continues to avert her gaze from him might show that she's in the "not" camp.]
...a blanket might be nice. Comfortable. I'd rather stay here, if it's all the same. I'm not fond of fire.
