Entry tags:
another year has passed and I'm alright; (OPEN)
WHO: Rin Tohsaka (
gandere), Shiki Ryougi (
ryougi), and a few of her close CR. (Will add character names when they tag in)
WHAT: Day one of the event
WHERE: Throughout Mayfield
WHEN: January 25th
WARNINGS: Angst. Gore.
The first time Rin notices something is Most Definitely Wrong is when she awakens in the night due to a stab wound in her stomach. No one had entered the home, she knows this much, and it bothers her to think that the only person who could have done such a thing is her Servant. This sort of wound is nothing for her though as she heals it easily.
Later on in the morning she's tired of the phone ringing and leaves the house. There's no point to going to school after the incident of the night before. No, she'll sneak in tomorrow if she has a chance and spare herself from getting droned. After the night before, there's no way she can risk it.
Visiting with a couple of individuals is key to survival, so Rin will make her way towards the homes of those she knows. It's a simple gesture that will save herself a lot of trouble later on down the road. The knowledge to know who stands where is important and she doesn't stop despite what sickness creeps up on her.
It's when she's surveying the changes to Makeout Point does she start to feel feverish, the nausea overwhelming her. This feeling is easily recognizable as radiation poisoning. Unlike before though, she has her full abilities and is able to overcome it. Purging it was a simple matter, but now she's just full of confusion.
During the evening is when her condition worsens.
OOC; Rin's traveling the neighborhood and workplaces of those she's considered close to in preparation of what may happen. If your character can't handle her with a giant hole in her chest, please tag prior to the evening prompt. If you don't want to come up with a setting, just do a blank tag. I'll fill in the blanks.

[It is certainly tempting. If she gave the order, then she could keep Lancer forever. It would be like fulfilling her childhood dream.]
[But then how much better would she be than those beings that she disdained as evil? And Lancer, how would he view her if she gave him that order? He would certainly follow it, but it would certainly hurt him to kill his former Master, especially since he had chosen the girl out of all possible candidates that could have become his Master. From her interactions with Lancer and Tohsaka, she could see that the two were close friends.]
[Lancer...would certainly hate her if she gave him that order.]
Yes, it would indeed be simple. However, I would have to waste a command spell for that. It would also greatly strain my relationship with Lancer. Besides, you have saved my life more than once, so just for that, I would not harm you until after I have repaid my debt.
[There is also the fact that she pities Tohsaka now, having finally realized what the girl's life in Mayfield must have been like.]
So no matter how tempting it is, I would return Lancer to you lest he chooses to remain with me for whatever reason.

She would never give him up for anything in the world.
Should Bazett be foolish enough to issue such an order, Rin will steal a Servant for herself. She'll steal them, force them to defeat her, and she'll take back her Lancer without question. Then discard of the other as though they were nothing.
Because they were.
Servants were tools she was taught, so it's with this belief she can act so heartlessly. Lancer wasn't a tool. Lancer wasn't a weapon. Lancer was Setanta and Setanta was her's. No one in this town could take him from her. Not even this town could take him from her. ]
Glad you're capable of common sense then.

Common sense is a requirement in my line of work.

[She crosses her arms and glares at Tohsaka.]
Do you have any idea what you're talking about, Tohsaka?

[She wonders if the girl is trying to antagonize her.]
no subject
[ Spoiler: she is. ]

[It takes a while to come up with a good reply.]
How?
[How much had Toshaka misinterpreted their interactions?]

[Unfortunately, she did. It is just that she never notices it.]

Tohsaka, I have never had anything against you.
[Only, she did, just a little bit. After all, it was hard not to be jealous when Tohsaka was Lancer's Master.]
Even if I did, it does not matter. You are Lancer's Master and my ally. I will protect you and work togther with you. You can trust me to that extent.

[Lancer was the man she loved, and yet he was serving another. For the first time, she decides to just admit her own jealousy.]
I...do wish to be Lancer's partner sometimes. But Lancer...as I said, he chose you to be his Master. And he would certainly be sad if you died or became injured. At first, I thought that no matter who or what you were, I would protect you just because you were Lancer's Master. Now that you have saved my life, I also need to protect you because we are allies and I am indebted to you.
[She stop right here, probably because she realizes she has said enough. She does not talk about how she now wants to protect Tohsaka because she sees the girl as a lost, lonely child. It would certainly offend Tohsaka ever more.]

You don't have to worry about equivalent exchange, Bazett. If it makes you feel better to hate me, then do it. Just know.. I won't give Lancer up ever. Even if he wants to leave me behind, I'm not going to let him. He's mine.
[ In more ways than one she doesn't say.
And that's when it hits it. Finally it strikes her hard. ]
I should try to find him.. Lancer..

[Because every time she looks at the girl now, she wonders how much Tohsaka has suffered in Mayfield after being here for possibly years. Even if she feels jealous or frustrated now, it will always be tempered with pity.]
Yes, perhaps you should. Or is there anything else we need to discuss?
no subject
No. I don't think there was. If you see Lancer, will you tell him I'm looking for him then?
no subject
No, I can't.
[The reason is left unsaid, but it should be obvious.]
Yes, I will do my best to inform Lancer that you are looking for him.
