Who: Luke and Ukraine, open to house and visitors
What: Luke remembers his previous life in Mayfield. Ukraine's helping him work through it.
Where: 5720 Cunningham Lane
When: Friday through Sunday
Warnings: None, although some of the topics of discussion might get dark
Notes: Tags will be from both Luke and Ukraine!
[While getting settled in at Ukraine's house for the weekend, he had some time to sort through some of his newly regained memories. While everything was still incredibly confusing (and really disturbing), his thoughts were getting a little more clearer. These new feelings however, were still throwing him off and he wasn't really sure what to do with them.
In a way, it was nice that he was here. He remembered visiting Ukraine before, and it was peaceful for the most part. Oddly enough, compared to both of the houses he lived in, it was...quiet.
Still, quiet meant time to think and sort through a years worth of new memories, so that's exactly what he plans to do. And for the most part he was ready to talk, although some topics would take more coaxing to get him to talk about then others.]

But they're not different. It's just the memories that set them apart.

Let's change the circumstances. They are sorted into different houses; one, for example, with the Major, and the other with Ukraine.
The boy who lives with the Major grows up to become a fearful, timid young man with an uncertain sense of right and wrong due to the upbringing he received. The boy who lives with Ukraine becomes a kind-hearted, magnanimous adult who is well-adjusted in every possible way apart from a predilection towards odd Ukrainian ways of thought.

[He glances down at the photograph of his old family on the table.]
But even so, they're still my memories.

No.
They're memories of the Luke who was here before, the Luke who, we agreed, isn't you. You can accept them or not, as you prefer.

[He could just write them off as different memories, and try to put this all behind him now. But...]
I can't. I can't just not accept them.
[He picks up the family photograph.]
They're not all terrible memories.

Then, that's fine. It's your decision how you approach it. If you would embrace the memories, do so whole-heartedly without regrets.
Memories are exactly that - memories. Nothing you remember can hurt you.

I suppose so. It's just all confusing, is all. It's almost like I was a different person.

[Susan leaves it at that before they retread the same ground.]
I suggest some rest and some distraction. Dwelling on it doesn't help much.

[But he will kind of change the subject to something less dreary. He did learn some interesting information too.]
Did you know miss Ukraine was technically my aunt the last time I was here?

Tell me you didn't live with Russia.

[He points to a woman with long white hair in the family photograph.]
This Russia actually. Never did understand all that country nonsense.
