Who: Megamind and housemates or any close friends who might drop by unannounced.
What: There's a little mail package on the table with the name scribbled out. Whose is it? Care to open it and find out?
Where: 1448 Mitchell Road
When: Late afternoon-ish
Warnings: Teh dramas
Being a creative individual, Megamind can be a bit disorganized. However, now that he has a Brainbot around to do his bidding, he's set it to work doing some spring cleaning. The Brainbot has started moving things around and tidying up in general. Some things have been left lying around.
For example, a small mail package has been left on the kitchen table. It's light as a feather, almost as if empty, and doesn't make any sounds when shaken. Upon studying the label on the package, one might notice that the postage is nearly a month old and the recipient's name has been scribbled out.

DIBS ON THAT BOX.
--but then she reaches over and finds the box.
"Hey, Megamind?" she calls, knowing her 'husband' is somewhere in the house from the disarray it's in, "what's this?" Already reaching for a knife to cut through the brown paper, getting it open. She's only been here two weeks so she knows it can't be for her--
--but was it for the old 'wife'? Or Megamind himself? Awfully light...

After a few moments there are some footsteps overhead. Megamind gets about halfway down the stairs before he catches sight of Roxanne in the kitchen with The Forbidden Box in her hand. He gasps loudly.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!"
But the damage is already done. He glimpses at his hands just in time to see his peachy skin tone turn bright blue. Gradually, his finely-groomed black hair falls out and his cranium grows to about twice its normal size.

...replaced by the alien who tormented her for years.
But she's not stopping-- she's coming right over, reaching out.
"Oh-- Megamind-- are you--" Well, okay's a stupid thing to ask about right now. "You're not hurt, are you? No pain?"

He throws his arms in front of him and cowers. "No! Don't look at me!"
no subject
"Megamind," she said, as gently as she could. "Megamind, I've seen you before. Plenty of times. You-- don't need to hide from me."
She's never felt like such a fool before, for being so damn nosy.

"You-... you hated me like this. You and the rest of Metrocity! No matter how I tried to fit in no one could ever see past the way I looked. It's... it's no use."
He doesn't stick around long enough to specify exactly what is no use. Instead he thuds back up the stairs and slams a door shut behind him.
((Feel free to follow him. He'll probably have more screaming to do through the door.))

"Megamind--" she tried the knob. "Megamind, please talk to me. Don't run away. I want to see you -- blue or not blue."
no subject
"You say that now, but I know better. I've learned from my mistakes. I knew this was all too good to be true. It had to be. Just leave me alone. You know that it's better this way."

But she sighs, and turns the knob. He didn't lock it. Good. She cracked the door open, and peeked inside, befor she opened the door the rest of the way.

"Fine. If you won't go, I will." He goes back to rummaging.

"You'll be droned. You'll end up droned and you'll march back right here convinced you're really a part if Mayfield," she points out. "And one morning you'll wake up yourself, right back in our bed... And I'd rather you blue and you than droned and any color, Megamind."
She was afraid to leave the doorway; what if he bolted? But she wanted to go over, touch him, reassure him. "Please, Megamind. Let's just be calm... Talk this out."

"Please understand. I spent my young life trying to fit in, putting all my trust in others. No matter how I tried, no matter who I trusted, it blew up in my face. Always. I learned my lesson."
He begins to cross the room towards her. "This town plays tricks on you. It makes you believe things that aren't true. I should never have let my guard down. And you can be assured that I'll never let it down again."
no subject
"Megamind, please--" she didn't know what to say-- so she decided action would most certainly be better-- reaching to try and take his hands, stop him, make her look at him. "I love you. Blue or not. We can get through this."
no subject
"Don't make this any harder than it already is!"
He slowly backs away and then returns to the closet. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have work to do."

If he won't listen to affection, maybe yelling will help (hint, it won't).
"You seriously think that-- the past three months are going to be suddenly invalidated because you've become-- you? Do you think I'm that shallow? That I didn't know who you really were when I was in bed with you?"
