Warnings: Should be fairly safe.

[ With the fire getting steam, Ambrosia sits back at a safe distance with her hands up a bit. The last time she held any kind of bonfire like this was years ago, but with how things were in Mayfield, she thought that there was a need to have at least some kind of party, however small it may be. ]

Hope ye don't mind if I brought a few extra people, pop 'n mum. Thought tha' ye'd like it.

[ Mingle among yourselves - she won't mind. As long as people are having fun, that's what counts. ]

Yeah, that could have gone better.

[He takes the help. Standing up and trying to pick up everything he dropped.]

This the party right?

Yeah, you will have to do that for me. Maybe I'll give you a crash course in Riders, then.

[We've been around longer, after all, you young whipper snappers.

Tsukasa looks at the rum.]

Maybe...I will have a glass.

[His arms wrap around Ambrosia and his hands grip the material of her shirt in an subconscious effort to keep her from leaving him like so many others have done in the past. He inhales a shaky breath, worried that he is causing a scene and others might judge him for being weak.

His eyes are shut tight, blocking out everything around him. His head rests against her shoulder with his chin still down. His sobs are forced back and he's unable to speak. He hears the comfort in her voice and acknowledges it with a nod.]

Will it include pictures?

[ That is a joke, but take it as you will. Though, she offers the entire jug to Tsukasa. ]

Ye know, I feel tha' we've become closer as a result of all this. Do ye?

Sorry. I'd need Gai for that. Though...then he'd also have his makeshift textbooks.

[Fanboys!]

Date gave me an idea about a couple more of you guys. But he's hard to make elaborate.

[ She stays just where she's at, increasing her hold on him just that much more to assure him that no one is going to judge him for crying or think that he's weak - and if they do? They'll have to answer directly to her and her fists.

Her hands move up his back to move through his hair - just like her parents used to do when she was upset.

She's not going to leave you, Varon. Not now, not ever. ]

[ She helps him out by picking up the rest of the items and nods. ]

Aye! Welcome t' th' party.

Mine might have some photographs, if I can get my album back.

[He takes the jug, nodding, then gets a swig. He coughs a little bit.]

Date...isn't the type to really be anything but evasive about things. He means well, though.

[To Ambrosia's question, Tsukasa will nod, then look over to Marvelous. He thinks about it for a moment, then extends a hand. Will Marvy-chan take it?]

[After he manages to get it out of his system that everything that was spinning so out of control before came to a head and he was able to regain his voice.

Calming down he opens his eyes and wipes his tears with his thumb. It felt like a lanced blister and the pressure finally lifts. He breaks from the embrace slowly, his chin still down but he is able to look at her with what feels like new eyes.]

Gah, why does it sting when it's supposed to be just fluid that washes the eyes?

[sniffles]

Yay.

[ She notices Tsukasa's reaction to the rum before chuckling. ]

This yer first time tryin' rum? Man, I should make ye used t' th' stuff.

[ However, the bit about Date gives her some pause before she shakes her head slightly. ]

[ Ambrosia remains at Varon's side while he composes himself. She just smiles gently and chuckles, shaking her head as she offers a little cloth for him to rub at his eyes. ]

'Cause ye've let a lot of pent-up feelin's out - tha's why.

You're eyes burned too, huh.

[He lets out a soft chuckle from the small play on words. Taking the cloth to wipe his face, he picks up his beer and takes a swig.]

Nothin' like a lancing, eh?

[That's exactly what it was to him. Purging the hurt really put into prospective to him that he really has a long way to go.]

Fer now, but I've talked it out 'n I feel a lot better from it.

[ She chuckles and nods, plopping right back down on the ground. ]

Heh... Aye. But, ye wanna know somethin'? I'm quarter of a century old 'n I still make me own mistakes. Don't be afraid t' do th' same 'cause there'll be people there t' help ye out in th' end.

[Marvelous stares for a second at the hand...and then takes it. It's a very challenging handshake though.]

I got that impression. His buddy Hino sounds like a good enough guy though.

[Too bad he never got on the subject of his best brochan though!]

I hope you're not starting him off on the real good stuff. Might make a newbie blow a gasket.

You're only a year older than Mai. I used to think that I was in love with her but now...I'm not so sure. I mean, back home, I already finished my school and I was already workin'.

[He slides off the bench and takes his seat across from Ambrosia and sits Indian style.]

It's funny that here, I'm this kid and there's so many expectations that I can't keep up. There's image, manners, now a family that's kinda there and a house. I'm not livin' in some building with utilitarian creature comforts you know.

I mean it seems ideal but it's only on the surface. Made me think of all the shit I've done...and how many people come home to an empty bed at night. Wives grievin' for the lost husbands, sisters that lost brothers, mothers that lost their sons...yeah, I was responsible for some of that shit. Kinda makes you think, you know.

[ Ambrosia takes a sip of her rum, listening to him explain things from his perspective. When he's done, she wipes her mouth off on her sleeve and nods. ]

Out of th' stuff here, I've only been used t' manners when it comes t' me parents as well as a family. No house since th' Mary was our home 'n image? Well, we really didn't care much fer tha' since, ye know, pirate 'n all.

But, I hear ye on tha' kind of stuff. I'm normally used t' bein' on land fer 'round a couple days t' a few weeks, dependin' on what I need t' accomplish. I've done me own fair share of shit tha' I ain't proud of 'n I still try t' live in th' here 'n now. Yet, I still struggle with tha' kind of thinkin'.

[ A smile shows next as she chuckles. ]

Though, I think me strugglin' with stayin' in th' present is done 'cause I talked it out with my, well... boyfriend. His name's Marvelous 'n I'd think ye'd like him, but he helped me out in more ways than one.

[A handshake between MEN, that's what this is. They're still sizing each other up, but perhaps...this is the start of a friendship that will define something...extraordinary.]

Hino...could be the best of all of us, honestly.

[Of course, the comment just gets Tsukasa to drink more from the jug, not coughing as much this time.]

...Smooth.

Knew you weren't single.

[He grins. People like them never were for long.]

Guess it's better to come clean with my intentions then. Ever since I got here, I met this girl...Asagami Fujino. She's really cute and damn hot but shy as hell. I think if I were to fall into normalcy here, it'd be with her. I think she likes my arms.

[He chuckles and takes a pull from his beer.]

She saw me cuttin' up my shirts.

Hino? Ye know, if ye talk 'bout others, ye should at least clarify who ye are talkin' 'bout.

[ Her? Nosy? Naaaaah. But she chuckles at Tsukasa's reaction to Marvelous' jab, shaking her head. ]

Ye gotta get stronger from drinkin' it!

That's all the amount of name I got. Can't go into more detail if I ain't got it.

[Marvelous takes a huge swig of his own. It burns so damn good.]

Was it tha' obvious?

[ Hey, at least she's chuckling. Though, that may be the rum talking. ]

Well, hey - if ye like her, I'd go fer her! There aren't too many fish in th' sea 'n I think ye'd be a good match for her. 'N, hey, I think a nice strong scalywag like yerself would help her get out of bein' so shy.

[ At the arms comment, all she'll do is give a nod of approval. Credit's given where it's due and all. ]

Hino and Date from OOO's world. They're the second Kamen Riders to come after me, the first to be W.

[He shrugs a little bit.]

They didn't participate in the Rider War, they were some of the lucky ones.

Ye know, ye've got some weird ass names fer yer kind, mate. I mean, I can get bein' called W if it's, like, a codename or somethin'. But, OOO? What, did they get th' short end of th' stick in th' name department?

[ Yeah, it's going to take a while. ]

But, tha's good if they didn't participate in th' Rider War. I'm guessin' it was a bad thing.

Slightly more original than just having a name with a color.

[He didn't quite get why the sentai-naming scheme had to be so...simplistic.]

[Tsukasa nods at that.]

You have no idea about weird names. I'm still not sure what Den-O means...

[He sighs, and glares a bit at cheating Imangin...but then his face gets serious again.]

Rider War...was both the best and worst thing to ever happen to me. It's the reason that I'm still here, in any case.
