DA Meeting #4 [OPEN]
Who: Everyone! Reference this post for details.
What: Defense Association meeting, the fourth.
Where: Mayfield High School's Gym
When: Thursday, after dark.
Warnings: nope.gif
There isn't a whole lot of set-up to do for the meeting. Beyond a table or two rolled in from the cafeteria in case anyone needs to set something down somewhere and convincing a teacher or a janitor to let them use the indoor bleachers, that's all. There are places to sit, the lights are on, it isn't cold except by the door (which is propped open by a brick). What more could they need?

DA Business #2 - Books That Don't Suck Project
So I thought, if stuff made from things native to the town won't vanish into thin air, why not build a better library for the town that way? If I'm not the only one getting too many books back, that is...

I disagree. Mayfield already has 'classics' like Romeo and Juliet in print. It'd be a waste of time to retype most of those ones.

[Susan has little intention of starting the play again, but her life's sole source of joy is teasing Caesar. It is a hard life.]

[Maybe she should consider taking up knitting as a hobby instead.
Also, he's ignoring the 'when we do' bait. Not even biting.]

Regardless.
I'll have to read some of yours sometime. Perhaps it will shed some light on the sad state of education in your homeworld.

No, just that I suppose I know now where your spare time has been going, if not into homework. Also, there is such a thing as a printing press.

[Derailing, but ...seriously? What else can be learned from Romeo and Juliet? (Evidently, he did read it.)]

[Referring to Mayfield, of course.]

How long have you been stuck in this town?
