'Cause I want you all to myself
Who: Silence and Calleo Crowe
What: The most romantic of dinners.
Where: L'Déplaisant
When: Valentine's Day, 4:45 PM and onwards~
Warnings: ROMANCE.
[Well, it's cost Silence most of the money he's saved up so far in Mayfield, and all the charm he's able to exert without his Fascination spell on-hand, but he's gotten everything set up for the night. He's even gone to lengths to look his best for the occasion - something he hasn't done in centuries, simply because mystics tend to look good without making any effort at all. But he's made himself extra fancy formal clothes for the occasion, and he's carrying a rose.
He's also smiling absolutely irrepressibly. He can't remember the last time he'd enjoyed planning something so much, or been so excited. Oh, he'd had enjoyment and excitement in his job as a patrol officer - that was the very reason he'd taken the job; an immortal life could get incredibly monotonous - but it hadn't been anything like this.
He raps lightly on Crowe's door, idly spinning the stem of the rose between his fingers.]

Hey. Wow, you... You look really amazing.

Apparently they're not going anywhere until he gets some romance in first.]

But when they get there, there's only a few cars in the lot, and the restaurant itself looks closed. There's a small sign on the door that can't be read until they get close, but once they do, Crowe will be able to make it out.
RESERVED.]

Reserved? The whole thing, on a night like tonight? But wh--
[Oh. OH. COOL.]
You... You reserved the whole place?

Roughly in the center of the restaurant, a small table has been set, with space around it cleared away; it's obviously meant for them. No candles, but there is a large bouquet of red and blue roses as the centerpiece, which it looks like Crowe's rose came from. There doesn't seem to be anyone else visible in the place, even staff; Silence shooed most of them away.
He did pay a couple of the chefs to help him in the kitchen, though. He doesn't want to be back there cooking all night rather than spending time with Crowe, after all. And they're following his extremely strict cooking instructions.]

Once Crowe is settled, Silence goes over to his own chair...but he doesn't sit down. Instead he picks up something white draped over the back of it and puts it on - an apron.
Between that, and the grin he's giving Crowe, it's clear that tonight's dinner is not going to taste like cardboard.]

[Then he comes around the table to give Crowe a light kiss on the forehead and trots off to the kitchen, whistling to himself.]

I have way overthought this menu, you don't even know
It isn't until Silence sits down that he notices the box, and his eyes go to Crowe's with a warm, questioning look. For me?]
of course, this is you after all. XD
Of course. It's Valentine's Day after all. [When Silence opens the box, inside he'll find a pair of blue sapphire cufflinks. Crowe bites his lip, anxiously hoping Silence likes them.]
Y e p |D The dangers of dinner threads with a foodie + detail-obsessed RPer :v
First course.
[His breath catches when he opens the box, eyes shining; something fancy and fashionable for a mystic is very hard to go wrong with, and he can't help wondering if the blue was meant to coordinate with his usual coat color, with his blood(though he supposes that's a slightly morbid thought), or both. Secondary in his thoughts is that these must have been considerably expensive, and Crowe's present represents an equally significant investment as his own.
Needless to say, he puts them on immediately, before even touching his food.]
no subject
[Definitely to match his coat. He saved his paper delivery money, tips and allowance for those for awhile. Crowe smiles when he puts them them on.] They match. I'm glad.

[Then he smiles and makes a waving motion toward the food; clearly he's urging him to eat before it gets cold.]

Of course, he wouldn't have bothered going to such lengths if it hadn't been as part of a romantic gesture for his boyfriend.
He eats a bit faster than Crowe, entirely by design; the sooner he finishes, the sooner he can begin preparing the next course. Once he's done eating, he wipes his mouth with his napkin, leaves his seat, kisses Crowe on the temple, and heads back into the kitchen. Eventually, when Crowe is finished, Silence spares one of his helpers long enough to send him out to collect the empty plates.
When he eventually reemerges with the next course, it's even more elaborate. A lobster tail, obviously seasoned and garnished with herbs, further drizzled with some sort of sauce that smells mildly alcoholic but mostly buttery, with a sort of fluffy potato cake on the side.
Silence has been in Mayfield a full year, and has spent much of that time working at the tailor shop making elaborate outfits that fetch a significant price - and yes, he used a large chunk of his entire year's savings on this one night. Mystics don't really half-ass things.]

I really can't believe you did all this this. It must have taken a lot of planning. I'm honored.
no subject
It was worth it.
[Silence honestly hasn't had much besides his tailoring job, re-learning sign language, and Crowe to channel his passion into while he's been in Mayfield. He desperately misses the ability to absorb monster souls, but Mayfield honestly doesn't have much in the way of monsters for him to slay. So having something big and elaborate like this to plan for has been a welcome outlet for him.]

He takes his time eating his lobster; the dessert is the simplest course, one that he's almost entirely prepared in advance, so he doesn't need to rush to get back to the kitchen. He waits until Crowe finishes his own meal before getting up, taking both their plates and heading back into the kitchen. He's been enjoying feeding Crowe in a far nicer atmosphere than either of their houses could provide, of course, but he's definitely looking forward to bringing out the last course and being able to then relax and stay with Crowe, rather than having to jump off and run again afterward.
When he emerges again, only a few minutes later, it's with two plates - again, one for him and one for Crowe - upon which are two small bowls, filled with white chocolate mousse. A slice of warm shortbread, with what looks like berries in it, is propped up against the bowl, and scattered over the rest of the plate are chocolate-covered strawberries, both dark and milk chocolate varieties. Silence had been able to make all of it in advance, so nothing aside from artfully arranging the plates has really been required of him this time. He's also discarded his apron at some point while he was gone, so when he sets the plates down and takes his place again, it's clearly with the intent of not having to get up again until he feels like it.]

[He smiles, a little mischievously.] I only rented the restaurant for two hours; I wanted other couples to be able to use it later in the evening, if they wished. So when we finish, we can go back to my house...

Naturally, being Crowe, he turns bright red. But, he smiles shyly, and nods.] Y-Yeah, it... Sure.

It's okay. Really. I'm... ready.
[That sounded more frank than he wanted, but it was true.]
