If you're passing by Mitchell Road today, you can probably smell the distinctive aroma of someone grilling meat. There's a big sign on the door of 1445 that says "Come Around Back!! :D" where you'll find America standing beside the grill, wearing a tacky novelty apron and cooking up burgers, hot dogs, and corn on the cob while humming "The Stars and Stripes Forever." Feel free to join in! Especially if you've brought food.

[Austria releases his grip on Miss Elizaveta, his first motor bike ride was more fun than he thought it would be.]

Oh it's America's house! [He'd been here once before. They had bacon together.]

[Waves~!] Are you celebrating something?

It's Memorial Day!

I don't think I've heard of that one before. [Is there a saint named Memorial?]

It's when we remember all the soldiers that died so we could be here.

[arrowtothebutt]

So you remember them by eating lots of food?

[redwhiteandhero]

Well lots of places have parades and ceremonies too.

I bet that makes soliders happy, that everyone spends the whole day celebrating them.

[redwhiteandhero]

Yeah, I bet it does.

[Austria takes his helmet off, letting Mariazell spring out from under it.]

At home we have banquets and festivals for knights all the time with food and poetry and music. [They're one of Austria's favorites.] It's kind of like this.

That sounds pretty cool too.

If I'm gonna have a cookout, I'm gonna do it right.

With plenty of food. That's the American way, right?

I've been in this town too long not to.

But it's always nice to have someone else cook for a change.

Well there's plenty of it, so feel free to help yourself. You want a burger or a dog?

[She parks the motorbike on the lawn, propping the helmet off and yanking the gloves off while Austria pitterpatters before her.] What is this holiday about, anyway?

It's in memory of our fallen soldiers, and celebrating the freedom they won for us.

[balaton]

Ah, it's exactly as it sounds, then. [She rubs the back of her neck, getting the rest of her hair out.] It must be convenient, being in Mayfield for this day.

Well, I mean, it'd be nicer to be home. Y'know, the real one.

[balaton]

I imagine it wouldn't go over too well with the rest of us celebrating our own holidays here.

Y'don't think? Why not? [More excuses to eat food and drink booze amirite?]

Mayfield wouldn't like it. It wouldn't be patriotic, you know?
