<sub>[It took a bit for Satomi to get a hold of herself after the effects from that strange place wore off, after she stopped thinking she was from the future. It was hard sometimes to remain calm- she was usually the first to panic lately- but there was something she had wanted to talk to Mirai about, but had never gotten a chance to until now.

Their Soul Gems. Satomi had had hers back for awhile now- did Mirai have hers back as well?

Mirai had kept herself held up in her assigned house for most of her free time, lately. She'd ignored most of what was happening this month--she didn't want to get involved. Things were still too dicey without any of her powers returned.

When the knock on the door comes, though, she can't help but answer it, "Ah, Satomi! Did something happen?"

"Mirai-chan?"

Oh, so Mirai wasn't aware of what had been going on recently? Satomi could be nice and refrain from mentioning it, but she wanted the pink haired girl to know.

"Something did, yes. People were being kidnapped and experimented on recently- I was one of them."

Though she had faired better than some of the others... in a way.

"But... that wasn't why I came to visit. Mirai-chan, I want to know... do you have your Soul Gem back now?"

Mirai stared at Satomi, eyes widening as she started on her trademark yelling, "What!? Why didn't you say anything? Are you alright?"

She shook her head, obviously annoyed. How could this have slipped past her? Mirai was going to have to start sticking closer to her teammate, magic or no.

When she paused in her rant long enough to really absorb the rest of what Satomi had said, her frown deepened. She lifted her hand and allowed her Soul Gem to appear, still bright and untainted.

"Yeah, I have it back. But I don't have any of my magic, yet."

Satomi stood there listening to Mirai yell, not saying anything until the other girl was done. It should have been obvious that she hadn't had been in the right state of mind to call up Mirai and tell her about the experiments, but then maybe Mirai wasn't reaching the same conclusions Satomi would have thought she would.

Oh well.

"I didn't trust anyone, that's why," she explained, "Mirai-chan, I was hallucinating I was from the future."

And that she had found a way out... not that she could remember what it was. When her teammate showed she had her own Soul Gem back, Satomi looked happy for a brief moment, though it quickly fell and she frowned slightly. "None at all, Mirai-chan?" she asked, as if wanting to confirm, "That's strange... I have most of mine back now."

Including Fantasma Bisbiglio... but Mirai didn't need to know that, did she?

"--Nothing else has happened, right? Your Gem isn't tainted, is it?"

Mirai grumbled, but it was more at herself for failing to figure out how to do this or just ask Satomi about it beforehand. Her annoyance had turned inward, but the worry stayed. With the both of them having been affected and no Juubey or Grief Seeds to be found, there wasn't much Mirai was sure they could do before their Soul Gems become too corrupted.

"Ugh... This is no good. How long did it take you to get them back? And have you found any Grief Seeds?"

She shook her head, trying to smother how she felt--or at least hide it-- beneath a bout of arrogance, "Not that it matters that much. This Mirai-sama can handle herself, magic or no!"
