PROM, PART 2

The log will be split into two entries to keep the size manageable. In this thread is the Stage, Wallflowers and King & Queen ceremony!

Because he can't stop himself from making a movie reference, the theme of this year's Prom is "Enchantment Under the Sea". (Don't get too freaked out, Marty McFly.) Equipment has been moved out, seating has been set near tables and walls, and a makeshift stage has been constructed to host the DJing equipment. Quinn has music up until 2010, so a large variety of music will get played. There's plenty of food and drinks - including spiked, and very-much-not-spiked punch (magically protected, thanks to Ilsa). In a corner is a small set up for people who wish to get their photos taken by Tsukasa.

The party is under way - have yourselves a good time, Mayfield!

[He tilted his head... did he just hear right-- oh... of course, this town had its strange set up. A perfect family... his eyes followed after the girl for a moment, even after he heard Integra's words.]

[Unarmed... and injured...]

[The priest snorted and turned his attention towards Integra, eyes half lidded.]

Ah should have guessed tae run intae ye sooner or later... Takin' in all sorts o' creatures then? ... In addition tae yer miniature vampire?

[This is after the incident of the good father hunting down Mika. Cade saw what was going on, but Integra jumped in before he got a chance. Things seem safe for Mika now, but Cade feels an introduction is necessary.

Cade is actually quite pissed, but he masks it by turning his usual bravado up to 11.]

"Ho! Hello there, good sir! I don't believe I've seen you around town before!"

Hm?

[He had been calmed and went back to his silent vigil of observing the scene. It would be for the best that no one try and rile the priest up...]

Hn... Ah must admit, Ah dinnae git out much...

[Any hint of a would be vampire and demon hunter had long since vanished...]

[Cade pats him on the back. Hard.]

"OH well allow me to introduce myself then! I am Sir CADE MASTERS II, Paladin of Idamra, defender of the people, and protector of freedom and liberty!"

[It was hard to phase him with hardened pats to the back. Something else got him though...]

A paladin, are ye?

[He looked.. almost interested...]

Since ye are nae o' Iscariot... Ah have nae business with ye...

[Cade just keeps smiling and talking boisterously.]

"OH HO! You think so sir? Well, I felt the strongest urge to let you know that in MY order, that if we swear to protect someone, it is a VERY serious matter indeed! Very bad things could happen to someone who tried to hurt someone I swore to protect!"

[The priest sighed and looked this fellow over. He didn't seem much of a threat, aside from someone who would continue to get into his personal space.]

[A frown... and a small scoff.]

... an' does yer ... order approve o' th' risk o' harmin' innocents in yer quest tae protect others?

[Cade is still smiling...]
"Of course not!"

[And then his look and tone changes, turning deadly serious. There is intent to kill in Cade's eye.]
"And you? How quick would you be to harm innocents in whatever quest you pursue?"

Ye ask a dangerous question, Sir Masters...

[Anderson's own tone of voice lowered. He doesn't bother looking at the other man, but rather, stares out to the open room. He thought about the question... Before he arrived here, he had managed to get into a small scuffle with Hellsing's monster... and yet had managed to leave the other two well alone.]

[Tonight, blinded by that old urge to hunt, he had nearly gone out of his own way to try and slay what he thought was a monster. Instead, he was told it was a young... innocent and injured woman... things were not making sense to him during his stay here.]

Ah dinnae harm ...innocents...

"Good. Because Mika - nice lass, has a wolf tail and ears, perhaps you've met her - is as innocent as they come, and if I thought she was in any danger, or if anything happened to her, I would have to turn the responsible parties into a new sheath for Frostbrand."

[He snorts.]

The lass is nae longer mah concern. Ah suggest ye stop threatenin' me... unless yoo're required tae dae so...

If it was left in plain sight, I'm pretty certain that there'd be hell to pay for the idiot who did the sloppy job. _{[ Carlton gives a slight grimace as he observes the dance floor again. ]} There's nothing I wouldn't do to have jurisdiction here so we could get a search warrant if necessary.

As for meeting up, think Kenobi would have an issue of us commandeering the dining area at your house? We could use mine, but I don't feel like we should be in the company of the drones.

[Cade relaxes a little to hear that Anderson won't be a threat to Mika again.]

"I'm glad to hear you won't be harming her now, but why were you pursuing her before? I highly doubt she'd done anything to antagonize you."

[He grit his teeth... and wasn't sure if he should answer that question. He already had someone following him around, determined to see his fighting skills...]

Ah had mah reasons...

"That's not good enough for me. You had my friend running scared, how do I know you won't go hunting someone else I care about next for mysterious unknown reasons?"

Yer friend

"Yeah, my friend. You know, that thing when two people care about each other and look out for each other?"

[He notes that and makes a note to himself to be careful.]

I don't see why! Shall we?

[If anything, Anderson seemed disgusted. Not at the fact of who this fellow chose as a friend... but it might seem that way... A sneer, and he turned away.]

We're finished here.

"Like hell you are! You are just like the damn Veritas Order back home! You harm one hair on one head of one innocent, and I WILL come for you! You hear me?"

Ah would suggest ye nae start a fight that ye can nae win...

[His voice was so calm, yet his body seemed to quiver with rage... The fellow was only proving to be a nuisance... and that had the potential of being very dangerous.]

"Normally I encourage fools to underestimate me, but trust me, I am more than capable of handling you if you seek to harm those I care about!"

A fool?

[Anderson turned to face this man... and glared.]

Ya think meh a fool?

[Normally Jenny would be amused to watch two idiots duke it out in front of her, but there was something in the controlled rage of Anderson that she didn't like. That didn't know how long he'd been here, there was no information on what he'd regained from his world or what he was like there. It was too much of a wild card.

And she didn't want to go bringing a corpse home tonight. Not when she didn't have a trustworthy person to preform the autopsy. No, it would just be a waste of a death and a damn annoying drone to deal with.

Casually she made her way up behind Cade, resting her fingers on a well known pressure point. She could easily incapacitate him if need be, but she didn't want to do that, not if he was going to listen to reason.]

Masters, it's time to go.

[Her voice was cold and authoritative. There was no denying that if he didn't go willingly she was going to take him. They were in a highly dangerous situation and defusing it was going to be a trick.

Her eyes never left Anderson.]

[Cade softens slightly at Jenny's touch, but he is unwilling to lose sight of this one.]

"That is a dangerous man, Jenny. A self-righteous man who will hunt down innocent girls, and thinks himself above even giving a reason for his actions. I've met men like him before. They are worse than the most vile demons."
