Who: The Doctor and the TARDIS
What: Dealing with Amy's droning
Where: 1338 Benny Road
When: Today
[Amy was gone.
That was the only thing that had been on his mind for the past few days. He'd been in Mayfield a year. How long would it be until he saw her again? Another year? The thought made him feel sick with loneliness. As did his selfishness. He should be happy Amy was gone from this terrible place.
He couldn't take it anymore. He felt like there was a weight dragging him down.
He collapses on the bed and closes his eyes.]

Poor Orangey Girl. No, not poor. She's gone back where she belongs and she's safe, that's important. She'll go through her natural timeline, with no memory and that's good. That's for the best. But not for Pretty and the Doctor.
Sexy stands in the doorway of the bedroom for a few moments, just watching him. She can't just leave him to sulk, that's never done any good. There must be something she can...Aha!
She sweeps into the room, hurrying to the closet and pulling out the Doctor's heavy coat then tossing it onto the bed, right on top of him.]
Get up.

[The coat dropping on him jostles him slightly, but not enough to rouse him.
He shifts and tries to curl under the blankets.]

I said get up, idiot. We're going out.

I'm not.
I don't feel well.

You've been moping about since Orangey was droned. I'm taking you out on a- oh, what's that word? The women at the hospital are always chattering about it...ah! A date.
I'm taking you out on a date.
no subject
I'm tired. Not dressed.
Ask Jade to go with you.

And Jade doesn't need a date. You do. [She only has a vauge, secondhand idea of what a date actually is but dammit, she's taking him on one!]

[He snaps, harsher than he means to. He's not upset with her. He actually appreciates her kindness, but he's wrapped up in his sadness right now.]

Speaking of Jade, she's good at handling him when he's in these moods. What would Jade do...]

Get off!

Not until you step out with me.

[it's something Amy would do. Has done. Take him by the tie and stick it in a car door. Sit on him until he took her shopping. Poke until danced with her.
He goes silent. Taking in shuddering breaths as he tries to prevent a strangled sob from emitting his lips.]

[She slides off him and sits next to him, back against the headboard. Her arm loops around his shoulders, pulling his head to her chest.]
Go on, I know you want to.

Blimey. You're in a rush.

[She hasn't thought that far ahead yet.]

And I've never been on a date before. Not unless you count Venice.

Despite the odd looks you kept getting.
[Small smile...]

Though. As it was 1678, the police box did confuse them a bit.
[pulling on his coat.]
