Who: Morgiana and Touma!
What: Not!siblings having some family time.
Where: 840 Hastings Boulevard!
When: Early morning of February 13th.
Warning: Touma's getting ready for his date. We'll see where this goes.
[Flowers could be pretty rare back home, depending on where you were. The thing she could always manage to appreciate about Mayfield, despite it all, were the beautiful flowers and plants neatly spread about. They were different, of course, but not unpleasant. So on the morning of the thirteenth, Morgiana couldn't say she minded the sudden flowers. After carefully deciphering the card (her reading was improving!), she shrugged it off and left them alone.
Whatever the occasion was, she couldn't imagine the point of going through the trouble to be a secretive admirer. It was just a strange custom, she was sure, and she shouldn't pay too much mind to it.
Nevertheless, the carnations were very beautiful.
It wasn't long that she started to notice that her housemate, Touma, seemed a bit more in a bustle this morning. Even if he had this strange habit of getting into unwanted trouble- he was an honest boy and good company. He was also pretty helpful in Morgiana's efforts to learn now to read.
Up to this point, she had respected his privacy and would rarely delve into his business without his invitation. It was a mutual respect. Today, however, Morgiana felt especially curious and so she calls out:] Touma?

Oh hey. Morning. Hope I didn't wake you up. [ He isn't sure why he'd feel particularly guilty about that, since he doesn't even look like he has plans to leave for school anytime soon. ]
no subject
morgiana was a morning person, so she didn't really mind the extra hustle and bustle anyway. but she had to wonder!] Did you not rest well?
no subject
no subject
Um. Is something on your mind?
no subject
He gives her a small self-deprecating smile as a reward for her observation. ] Is it that obvious?
no subject
although he didn't seem terribly bothered by anything!]
Ah, it is out of the ordinary, or I think it might be.
You do not have to explain to me.
no subject
[ He walks closer and looks around, not wanting this to be something overheard by the drones. God help him if they get wind that he has a plans with a girl. ] Have you ever been on a date before?
no subject
No. [actually, she's turned down people before.
her true occupation is that of a heart breaker.but really she's never given dating or things like that much thought. she's been too busy with other things, even though her friends talk about it sometimes.] Why do you ask?no subject
Ah, well, you see... I kind of have one. Tonight. [ A weak chuckle. ] And I have no idea what I'm doing.
no subject
with her lack of experience, she can only wonder what there was to be worried about.] How do you mean? Are there many things to be done?
no subject
Except it's totally true and he knows it. He idly wonders if his home life was anything like that. ]
See, that's the thing. I don't really know. Besides cleaning up and getting some clothes together, I dunno if there's anything I'm missing. I can't really ask anyone else.
no subject
Um. Is this your first one?
no subject
[ ...that's not a normal reply, is it? ]
no subject
his reaction to the question was more worrying to her than the actual answer. what could have caused that peculiar shift in mood?]
How do you mean?
no subject
no subject
but with him announcing his confessing, she can only feel obligated to listen. he trusts her, after all.] Your words will be safe.

while she has a strange need to console touma, the only thing she can think to do is touch his arm. she frowns grimly, out of confusion.]
How did this happen?
no subject
...I already had one person look at me with the saddest eyes I've ever seen. I can't let that happen to anyone ever again. [ That was ... not such a difficult confession, but he had to wonder why he had the sudden compulsion to be out with it. Maybe it was because he saw Morgiana as someone more than just a friend; like they had some kind of bond of trust that went beyond that, even if all they really did together here in Mayfield was talk, go to school, and do homework. ]
no subject
it can't be the simple, of course. she stares at the ground, not wanting to show her feelings of sympathy. suddenly not knowing his friends? or precious memories?]
It must be too painful. I can understand your reasoning now.
Thank you for telling me this.
no subject
[ And just as he said that, he runs his fingers through his head. ] Ahh, don't thank me. I just think it's natural to let you know since you've been around this long. At least it explains why I'm weird about some things.
