PROM, PART 1

Because he can't stop himself from making a movie reference, the theme of this year's Prom is "Enchantment Under the Sea". (Don't get too freaked out, Marty McFly.) Equipment has been moved out, seating has been set near tables and walls, and a makeshift stage has been constructed to host the DJing equipment. There's plenty of food and drinks - including spiked, and very-much-not-spiked punch (magically protected, thanks to Ilsa). In a corner is a small set up for people who wish to get their photos taken by Tsukasa.

The party is under way - have yourselves a good time, Mayfield!

[Tachikoma doesn't eat, so it normally wouldn't be over by the food. But it has been following people on the dance floor, and eventually glides close enough to see Dakki, which immediately causes it to go and say hello.]

Miss Dakki! Hello! I didn't know you were going to be here!

Tachikoma? [Well this was unexpected, but not unpleasant at all. She sets down a new plate of sandwiches and turns around to give her friend a proper greeting.]

I didn't know that you were coming, either! But I'm glad to see you. Are you having fun?

Oh yes, there's so much going on! And I'm recording everything that I see! This is great! Usually when I'm at social events like this, it's to provide security, so I don't get to just be a guest like tonight. This is a first hand experience I am greatly enjoying!

Ooh, a recording! Maybe after this is all done, we can replay it, sometime. Not everyone's memory is perfect, after all. Recordings are wonderful.

[She laughs, loving Tachikoma's enthusiasm.] I'm usually providing security, too. I'm sort of providing security tonight... although I don't think anything much will happen, you can't be too careful in this town.

I had to relook up the post with the numbers I used before. I must remain consistent, you see.

I would love to replay it for others! Or any of my memories, actually! But I'm still having trouble finding a way to do that... I seem to be able to hook into some late 20th century model computer models, but they aren't well made for my IEC 76610-5-203 connector, so there's some loss of definition...

Oooh... are there that many late 20th century computers available in town? I'd think Quinn might have one, but maybe others do.... aah, but even with loss of definition, if we can see it at all, that's what really matters, hm?

Well, some of the monitors I was able to use at the house I'm staying at seemed to be those type of models, but I've never really did a thorough look into who else has them...

And that's true, but sometimes it's hard to point out some of the information I recall in my memories if the definition loss blurs it.

Also, who's Quinn?

Aah, when not all of the information is displayed, you can't exactly point it out. Is that it?

Oh! Quinn! He's tall, has a ponytail... he's up DJing the party! He helped put all of this together!

[She points to the DJ booth/table, just to be sure that Tachikoma see.s]

[Tachikoma doesn't turn, but swivels one of its 'eyes' in the direction she's pointing to see who she's talking about.]

Oh okay! So maybe I should talk to them later about the type of technological equipment they have?
